  • Publication number: 20220002600
Abstract: A water comprising, two component polyurethane dispersion adhesive comprising an anionic polyester polyurethane resin and a solvent-free liquid aliphatic polyisocyanate cross-linker. The dispersion can be reactivated one or more times for edge bonding a flexible sheet material onto a substrate having a main surface, a peripheral surface and an edge connecting the main surface and the peripheral surface.

  • Publication number: 20200317947
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an undercoating composition comprising: a) a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer obtained by polymerization of a co-monomer mixture comprising, based on the total weight of the co-monomers, from 85 to 98 wt. % of vinyl chloride, from 2 to 10 wt. % of vinyl acetate and from 0 to 5% by weight of a co-monomer selected from C2 to C8 olefins, vinylidene chloride and styrene; b) plasticizer comprising or consisting of at least one epoxidized natural oil; and, c) at least one aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic compound having a blocked isocyanate group, wherein said isocyanate group is blocked with a blocking agent capable of de-blocking at a temperature in the range of +/?20° C. compared to the de-blocking temperature of the corresponding isocyanate being blocked with nonylphenol.

  • Patent number: 10323314
Abstract: This invention relates to an autodeposition bath composition comprising a nitrogen containing compound, said bath being suitable for generating a uniform autodeposition coating on two or more of ferrous, aluminum, magnesium and zinciferous multi-metal substrate surfaces, treated either sequentially or simultaneously. The invention also provides autodeposition concentrate compositions for use in the bath, methods of making and using the concentrate and bath, as well as metal articles comprising an autodeposition coating according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 9228109
Abstract: The invention provides an improved appearance, glossy, autodepositing coating composition that maintains its desirable properties such as moisture barrier properties, although it is still able to deliver a glossy finish. No additional coatings are necessary over the instant coating to achieve a gloss. The glossy composition is accomplished by narrowing the molecular weight distribution and the molecular weight of an autodepositing epoxy dispersion coating by adding a chain transfer agent. The chain transfer agent is a thiol-containing compound made from an epoxy resin mixed with at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer polymerized through a polymerization process, a curing agent, and a starter composition of peroxide, FeF3, and hydrofluoric acid. By eliminating the starter composition, a bath concentrate suitable for selling is manufactured.
