Abstract: A painting system having a painting robot with a stationary base mounted to a wall of a paint booth in cantilever fashion. A stand is mounted to the stationary base and is rotatable around a first axis that is disposed substantially horizontal. A first arm is rotatably mounted to the stand around a second axis, and a second arm is rotatably mounted to the first arm around a third axis. The second arm is operable to rotate around the third axis 180 degrees relative to the first arm. An end effector is connected between the second arm and a painting tool. The end effector is operable to orient the painting tool.

Abstract: A door opener arrangement for a robot coating device, used for detecting a position of a part (6) of a door (7) so that the door can be opened and/or closed for interior painting. The door opener is arranged with at least one non-contact sensor member (1), preferably for detecting changes in a field strength of a magnetic or electromagnetic field in a Z and vertical direction, and may be arranged with a plurality of sensors to detect a collision etc. A method, system and computer program are also described.

Abstract: A robot or manipulator including a wireless power supply and a wireless communication device. One or more actuators on the robot tool may be wirelessly powered and wirelessly controlled. The robot tool may have one or more wireless communication members for transmission of data from sensors on the tool. The power supply includes a primary power supply member and secondary power supply member. Tool changes may be carried out automatically by the robot. In other aspects of the invention a method, a control system and a computer program for carrying out the method are described.
