  • Patent number: 11970028
Abstract: It is described a motorcycle tyre (100) intended to be fitted to a wheel of a motorcycle of the “supersport” segment, comprising an equatorial plane and a tread band extending in axial direction with a given axial development, wherein the tread band comprises a first annular portion made of a first elastomeric material, having a first dynamic shear storage modulus measured at 70° C., and at least one second annular portion made of a second elastomeric material, having a second dynamic shear storage modulus measured at 70° C., different form said first dynamic shear storage modulus measured at 70° C.

  • Publication number: 20220388351
Abstract: Motorcycle wheel tyre (1), comprising a carcass structure (2), a belt structure (6) arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure (2) and a tread band (8) arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the belt structure (6). The tread band (8) comprises, in an axially inner annular portion thereof, a pair of circumferential grooves (20) arranged on opposite sides with respect to an equatorial plane (X-X) of the tyre (1). The carcass structure (2) comprises at least one carcass ply (3) having opposite end edges (3a) associated with respective annular reinforcing structures (4) to form respective beads (15). Each bead (15) comprises at least one reinforcing element (18) made of an elastomeric material having a rigidity in a circumferential direction greater than the rigidity in a radial direction.

  • Publication number: 20220048330
Abstract: A motorcycle tyre has a tread band (8) comprising a plurality of grooves that form a tread pattern including a module (T) replicated along a circumferential direction of the tyre (1) and having a predetermined circumferential length (C1). The module (T) comprises a pair of circumferential grooves (20) arranged on opposite sides with respect to the equatorial plane (X-X) of the tyre (1). Such circumferential grooves (20) extend along the circumferential direction of the tyre (1) for only part of said predetermined circumferential length (C1) and define between them a central portion (A) of tread band (8) having a void to solid ratio substantially equal to zero and a predetermined axial width (A1).

Abstract: A motorcycle tyre (1) has a tread band (1) comprising a plurality of grooves that form at least part of a tread pattern including a module (T) replicated along a circumferential direction and having a predetermined circumferential length (Cl). The module (T) comprises a pair of circumferential grooves (20) arranged on opposite sides with respect to the equatorial plane (X-X) of the tyre (1). Such circumferential grooves (20) extend along the circumferential direction for at least part of said predetermined circumferential length (Cl) and define between them a central annular portion (A) of tread band (8) having a void to solid ratio substantially equal to zero and a predetermined axial width (Al).

  • Patent number: 10919343
Abstract: A motorcycle tyre with a low void-to-rubber ratio while providing a stiffness suitable for good performance on dry ground and on track. A tread band with grooves is arranged to provide a draining effect without structurally weakening the tread band. According to one aspect, the tread band has a tread pattern with two pairs of grooves having segments or portions that produce a warming effect when the compound of the tread band is cold. The tread band provides grip to the ground and limited local warming when the compound of the tread band is at the operating temperature or when driving on dry ground, to provide stiffness and readiness of response.
