  • Publication number: 20190073404
Abstract: Method, computer program and apparatus are disclosed in which search phrases are arranged multi-dimensionally in a relevance map pointing which the user can define weights of the search phrases. Documents are correspondingly ranked based on the weights and a result list is formed and presented accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20180107744
Abstract: Explorative searching method, apparatus and computer programs are presented. A first explorative search is run in a first branch. A first group of entities relating to the first explorative search is presented to a user. A second explorative search is run in a second branch in parallel with the first branch. A second group of entities relating to the second explorative search is presented to the user simultaneously with the presenting of the first group of entities. The user is allowed to import one or more entities of either one of the first and second explorative searches to the remaining one of the first and second explorative searches and updating said remaining explorative search.

  • Publication number: 20180082017
Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for generating criteria for information retrieval tasks. A quantifying unit is trained through machine learning to assign relevance values to functional brain imaging potentials measured from a person. This quantifying unit is then used when the person performs an information retrieval task by reading a primary document. The quantifying unit assigns relevance values to text items viewed by the person in the primary document. Based on these relevance values a criterion is generated for the information retrieval task, and potentially relevant secondary documents are retrieved from a document database based on whether or not, or to what extent, they meet this criterion.

  • Patent number: 9798780
Abstract: A search system configured to predict further search intents of a user and to perform exploratory further searches and produce a number of search features and associated relevances and divergence quantifiers for displaying by user equipment at least two-dimensional so as to allow the user to identify relationship of various diverging search terms and to rapidly direct the searching towards information the existence of which may have been previously unknown to the user. Some of the search features can be concealed and shown to the user only if the user magnifies the corresponding area on a display showing the search features returned by the search engine. Files matching to varying degree with the present and predicted further searches are shown to the user with respective lists of search features.

  • Patent number: 9654611
Abstract: A method and an apparatus comprising operating a processor of an apparatus as a first processor and/or as a second processor. The method at a first processor comprises recognizing the proximity of a second apparatus; recognizing a first user input and in response to the user input, sending an application share invitation to the second apparatus. The method at a second processor comprises recognizing the proximity of a first apparatus and in response to receiving an application share invitation from the first apparatus, displaying a security prompt for the user on the display.
