  • Patent number: 11929782
Abstract: A method for transmitting electromagnetic signals by a vehicle moving towards a target device including a communication system provided with a radiating system that receives and transmits electromagnetic signals, performs an alignment step with the target device to establish a first communication direction with the target device, communicates with the target device by orienting the radiating system to receive and transmit data along the first communication direction, and performs a subsequent phase for maintaining the alignment with the target device to determine a future position and an orientation of the radiating system with a sensor being operatively connected to an electronic control unit of the vehicle configured to implement control and/or driving assistance functions of the vehicle based on information received from the sensor, and ultimately orientates the electromagnetic signals emitted by the radiating system on the basis of the determined direction of communication.

  • Patent number: 10940911
Abstract: A motorcycle has a front part and a rear part, the front part including handlebars and a handlebar stem with which there is associated an electronic damper controlled by a control unit controlling the action of the damper on the handlebars, provision being made for a device detecting the angle of rotation of the handlebars and the velocity of rotation of the handlebar stem within a handlebar head of the frame. The control unit includes a first block which receives data on the velocity of rotation of the handlebar stem and which on the basis of such velocity determines the presence of oscillating or weave movement of the motorcycle or a wobble movement of the handlebars, the first block of the control unit being connected to a second block and a third block of such unit which alternatively generate a control signal intended to damp the handlebar stem on the basis of the determination made by the first block so that any weave and/or wobble movement is cancelled out.

  • Patent number: 10392070
Abstract: System for assisting in driving a bicycle by sending a haptic feedback to a cyclist having means for detecting the current value of a target quantity (q, v); and a memory module configured for supplying an optimal value of the target quantity (qmax; vmax) corresponding to the current spatial position (x) of the bicycle along the predetermined path or corresponding to the current instant (t). A comparator module is configured for determining a quantity representative of the error (eq; ev) between said current value of the target quantity (q, v) and said optimal value of the target quantity (qmax; vmax) supplied by the memory module. An actuator is applicable to a portion of the bicycle (100), suitable for generating vibrations. A control module is configured for determining a vibration frequency (f) of the actuator based on the error (eq; ev), wherein the said vibration implements the haptic feedback to the cyclist.

  • Patent number: 10377308
Abstract: A motorcycle includes a frame mounted on wheels having a front and rear parts, handlebar located at the front part motorcycle speed and roll angle detector, the front and rear parts join on a frame longitudinal median plane (W). A device for detecting a vehicle moving towards the rear part when the motorcycle is moving, the device including a radar detector or television camera rigidly of one piece with the motorcycle, the radar detector rigidly associated with the rear part and following its movement. The radar detector connected to a presence and movement evaluator of the vehicle moving towards the rear part capable of determining a variable hazard indication which identifies a time to collision between the vehicle and the motorcycle. The evaluator activating warning means on the basis of such hazard indication which generate a warning for the rider's attention when the hazard indication reaches a predetermined value.
