  • Patent number: 7636620
Abstract: A distribution device for a glide guidance component, the distribution device including an array of antenna elements installed on a pylon. The distribution device includes: a first and a second input for receiving a CSB (carrier plus sideband) input signal and an SBO (sideband only) input signal respectively, a plurality of outputs connectable to the array and including a first and a second output for the first and second output signals, respectively; each of said output signals including a CSB component and an SBO component. The array of antenna elements is such as to irradiate an image-less type pattern and the distribution device is such that the outputs have an substantially equal amplitude value for each pair arranged symmetrically around a central point of the array and a phase difference which is identical for the two CSB and SBO components.

  • Publication number: 20060030976
Abstract: A distribution device for the glide guidance component, including an array of antenna elements (A1-A12) installed on a pylon. The device comprising: a first and a second input for receiving a CSB input signal and an SBO input signal respectively, a plurality of outputs (OU1-OU12) connectable to the array and including a first (OU5) and a second (OU8) output for the first and second output signals, respectively; each of said output signals including a CSB component and an SBO component. The array is such as to irradiate an image-less type pattern and the device (22) is such that the outputs have an substantially equal amplitude value for each pair arranged symmetrically around a central point of the array and a phase difference which is identical for the two CSB and SBO components.

  • Patent number: 5635941
Abstract: A feeding method and device, particularly for a Doppler VOR system, and to a Doppler VOR system using such a feeding device. The feeding method performs a blending function, which is an approximation of the sinX/X function limitedly to the three central lobes, and is obtained by amplitude overmodulation of a single signal according to a periodic function. The blending function can be controlled through the control of the periodic function.

  • Patent number: 5353032
Abstract: A circuit generates RF signals for electronically scanned antennas and in particular for TACAN systems. The circuit includes a phase shifter that is particularly suitable for use in generating these RF signals. Instead of using circuits including a large Butler-matrix, a small Butler-matrix having only a few outputs is used for combining a limited number of outputs of a power divider. By further combining the remaining outputs of the power divider with the few outputs of the Butler-matrix by the use of electromagnetic combiners, a plurality of RF signals that are suitable for use by electronically scanned antennas are obtained from the circuit which is comparatively simple in structure yet produces very accurately controlled RF signals.

  • Patent number: 4698637
Abstract: A device for pulse modulation automatic control, where the modulation is a combined plurality of pulse components. Each pulse component is singly controlled by a respective control voltage or current, the control voltages and/or currents being fully independent from the output demodulated pulse level and from the number, per time unit, of pulses.
