  • Patent number: 11547399
Abstract: An articulating suture hook for passing or retrieving suture. The suture hook having a handle with a proximal end and distal end. A stiffening tube is fixed to the distal end of the handle extending distally from the handle. A flexible outer tube is fixed to the stiffening tube and extends distally therefrom. A cut portion of the flexible outer tube has a plurality of cuts positioned therealong. In a first configuration, the flexible outer tube extends parallel to or in alignment with the stiffening tube, but in a second configuration, the flexible outer tube is curved at the cut portion. The plurality of cuts may be arranged into two patterns. Each cut arranged in a first pattern is offset at an angle from each cut arranged in a second pattern. The pattern, shape, and size of the cuts determines the movement of the flexible outer tube to the second configuration.

  • Patent number: 11219519
Abstract: A suspensory fixation device has an elongated anchor member adapted to be transversely situated at the exit of a bone tunnel. A graft supporting loop member formed of a pair of parallel suture limbs extending from a bight portion is suspended transversely from the anchor member and has a loop length which is adjustable so the graft ligament can be supported in the bone tunnel at varying distances from the anchor member. When a graft ligament is attached to the saddle end of the loop member, the length may be shortened by pulling distally on the pair of limbs to pull the graft ligament into the bone tunnel. When tension is applied to the loop member by the graft pulling the loop proximally, the bight portion of the suture automatically locks the graft supporting loop member in place.

  • Publication number: 20210378654
Abstract: A system and method for repairing soft tissue tears such as meniscal tears. The anchor system has a first implant connected to a length of suture. The length of suture is folded such that a tensioning limb extends from the first implant and a locking limb extends from the first implant. The anchor system also includes a second implant fixed to the locking limb and an adjustment mechanism in the length of suture between the first implant and the second implant. The tensioning limb is passed through the adjustment mechanism. This creates an adjustment loop in the length of suture extending from the adjustment mechanism through the first implant. The adjustment loop is a one-way adjustable loop for moving the first implant and second implant in relative position to each other.

  • Publication number: 20210244403
Abstract: A system and method of repairing an ACL using a fixation device and a pre-sutured tendon. The fixation device includes a button having first and second inner apertures extending therethrough and a length of suture having a first limb connected to a second limb. The first and second limbs both extend through the first inner aperture, forming an adjustable loop in the length of suture extending from the button. A mass of suture material or a protuberance is formed in a first terminal end of the first limb extending proximally from the button. The mass of suture material and the protuberance have a diameter that is larger than a diameter of the first inner aperture. Pulling the second limb proximally from the button decreases the size of the adjustable loop.
