    Abstract: A baler having a tubular member arranged to be traversed by the material to be pressed and collected into bales, the tubular member having an upwardly opening aperture therein, a modular binding unit comprising at least one binding assembly and a modular frame for supporting the binding assembly, the modular frame being detachably connected to the tubular member and positioned to at least partially close the aperture therein, the modular frame serving to mount the binding assembly in operative relation with respect to the tubular member.
