  • Patent number: 4462326
Abstract: A device for feeding tape, elastic strips or the like in a sewing machine that functions in timed relation with the mechanism for advancing a workpiece during seaming. The device includes elements for sensing the machine's operating speed and the amount of workpiece advance during each revolution of the machine's main shaft. A control unit having a microprocessor is operatively connected to the sensing elements and is effective in controlling a motor associated with the feed rollers for the tapes etc. so that they are rotated by an amount governed by the control unit. A feed back response to the control unit provides the information on roller rotation so that a comparison can be made with information previously received whereby the control unit is capable of initiating a correction for possible differences that may exist when the actual rotational speed of the rollers is greater or less than that required for the desired manner of application of tape or elastic strips to a workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4354689
Abstract: A device for adjusting the height of the handles of a baby's carriage or stroller, comprising two telescopic tubes one sliding in the other, the handle connected to one tube, and a flat spring with two arms having a V shape fixed inside the inner tube. The spring ends with a pin protruding from a hole at the bottom of the inner tube, the pin being capable of engaging any one of several holes provided for the purpose in the outer tube with the holes being located at equidistant intervals along the entire height of the outer tube.

  • Patent number: 4345777
Abstract: An improved baby carriage is disclosed which includes side arm and handle structures that are interconnected by a folding linkage. The folding linkage can be activated to collapse the carriage width by moving the side structures together through the linkage. The carriage can thus be carried like an umbrella. A front cross arm is provided which is pivotally connected to one side arm structure and connected through a link to an opposite side structure. The link permits one end of the cross arm to swing out away from the side structure to which it is connected to permit widthwise collapsing of the carriage. The carriage also includes adjustable handles which have adjustments for varying the height of the handles above the ground and a pair of arc segments which are connected to a seat back of the carriage which are adjustable to regulate the inclination of the seat back.

  • Patent number: 4173355
Abstract: A folding baby carriage has a foldable foot rest defined by a pair of side members and a centrally disposed central member which are interconnected by a plurality of obliquely disposed tie rods. An adjustable linkage is provided for adjusting the setting of the foot rest relative to the associated seat, and a locking linkage is provided to maintain the front wheels locked in the operative unfolded position of the carriage. The arrangement is such that the foot rest and the front wheels serve as means to support the folded carriage in the upright position.

  • Patent number: 4077641
Abstract: A baby carriage which can be readily collapsed between an operative extended position and a folded inoperative position having connected front and rear leg members and including upper tong members and lower tong members whereby the lower tong members have one end thereof hingedly connected to the rear legs and having the other end thereof hingedly connected to tie rods which are hingedly connected to the rear legs, so that the carriage is rendered readily collapsible by the operation of a hand actuator.

  • Patent number: 4077640
Abstract: A collapsible perambulator cot which is adapted to fold between an operative and inoperative portion which includes in addition to opposed folding side cross-struts and a bottom or base cross-strut a rear cross-strut which have the respective lower ends hinged to the rear folding legs of the frame and which rear cross-struts have its respective upper ends hinged to the rods which tie rods are pivoted to the rear legs of the perambulator. The ends of the base cross-struts are connected to the lower ends of the side cross-struts by a block and pin arrangement so as to not impede the folding of the perambulator.

  • Patent number: 4065175
Abstract: A convertible, multi-purpose, storable child's high chair having a framework for pivotably supporting a one-piece molded seat which has a back wall and two spaced side panels extending upwardly from and contiguous with a seat panel. The framework has a base including two elongate tubular sections, each having a linear center section from which two legs angularly depend. The center sections are transversely spaced by, and affixed to, a cross member. The seat is adjustably and removably connected to a support which is pivoted to the framework center sections, supportable on the cross member in a chair position, and pivotable between the center sections and the angled legs to a stored position. The seat is slidably adjustable on and removable from its support and carries two stands, each stand being formed from an elongate rod. The stands are pivotably supported on the underside of the seat whereby the seat and occupant may be comfortably carried.

  • Patent number: 4049292
Abstract: The carriage has a pair of elongated handles each having an upper sleeve slidable therealong and each having a respective elongated front leg of the carriage secured to the associated sleeve. A pair of elongated rear legs have their upper ends pivotally connected to respective front legs intermediate the ends of the latter, and each leg has a support wheel rotatably mounted on its lower end. A respective lower sleeve is slidable along the lower portion of each front leg. An X-frame, formed by a pair of elongated arms pivotally connected intermediate their ends, interconnects the upper and lower sleeves, each arm having its upper end pivotally connected to the upper sleeve slidable on one handle and its lower end pivotally connected to the lower sleeve slidable on the front leg connected to the upper sleeve slidable on the other handle. Tie rods are connected at one end to each upper sleeve and are connected at their opposite ends to an operating knob.

A pair of rear legs have their upper ends pivotally connected to respective front legs intermediate the ends of the latter, and each leg has a support wheel rotatably mounted on its lower end. Respective lower sleeves are slidable along the lower portions of each front leg. A pair of elongated frame members have their lower ends pivotally connected to respective front legs, and straps are secured to the upper end of each frame member, and each strap is formed with spaced apertures therealong and extends through a slot in one of the upper sleeves. The seat back of a carriage seat is secured to its side edges to these frame members and is foldable about a longitudinal center line. By virtue of the apertured straps sliding in the slots of the upper sleeve members, the seat back can be inclined at any selected angles relative to the handles.
