  • Publication number: 20230049609
Abstract: An assembly for processing viscous material comprises a process duct extending along a longitudinal axis, wherein viscous material advances in one advancing direction, at least one pumping device provided with a stator comprising a cylindrical seat, and at least one cylindrical rotor. The at least one cylindrical rotor is housed in the stator and is coupled to the stator with a sliding seal. The rotor rotates around a rotating axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and has an outer face with at least one groove, which forms with the inner surface of the stator one pumping channel. The pumping device is configured so that the pumping channel extends between at least one inlet and at least one outlet and the inlet and the outlet are in fluid connection with the process duct.

  • Publication number: 20100103763
Abstract: A method to produce products made of composite material having solid particles embedded in a polymeric matrix provides for conveying a viscous liquid suitable to define the polymeric matrix along a first path; conveying agglomerates of elementary solid particles along a second path; combining the agglomerates with the viscous liquid; infiltrating the viscous liquid into the elementary solid particles along a third path by an infiltrating device; and dispersing the elementary solid particles into the viscous liquid along the third path by a dispersing device arranged downstream of the infiltrating device.

  • Patent number: 5356280
Abstract: A rotary channel pump apparatus for compressing solids that have an initial bulk density which is substantially lower than their structural density; the apparatus comprises a flow channel having an inlet and an outlet and includes: (i) an annular drag flow channel segment (L1) formed between a stationary outer wall member and a rotating circular inner wall member; and (ii) a straight channel segment (L2) formed between a first planar and stationary wall portion and a second planar and stationary wall portion; no axial cross-section of the flow channel between the inlet and the outlet is smaller than the axial cross-section at the inlet; a rotary feeder is connected to the flow channel near the inlet thereof for precompacting the particulate solid which is then passed through the flow channel to substantially increase the bulk density and to avoid melting and/or thermal degradation of the particulate solid when passing through the flow channel.

  • Patent number: 4973406
Abstract: A device for the separation of particulated solids from a pressurized fluid, in particular from a viscous mass of a thermoplastic material, with a cleaning system for the filtration element based on the "return pressure" principle. The device comprises a body having a fluid inlet conduit, two filtration assemblies that are connected to two conduits flowing together into an outlet conduit, and a flow-dividing valve that in rest position connects the inlet conduit with the separation conduits through the filtration assemblies, while in the cleaning position for one of the filtration assemblies the inlet conduit is connected with the other filtration assembly, thus causing part of the fluid that has been separated by this filtration assembly to pass with counterpressure through the filtration unit that is in the cleaning stage and through a discharge outlet housed in a compartment of the valve. In a similar manner the cleaning of the other filtration assembly is performed.

  • Patent number: 4760717
Abstract: Washing machine for washing off or separating plastic film, for example polythene, from paper or cellulose fibers or other pollutants comprising a container 1 into which the material to be washed consisting of plastic film with residual quantities of paper or cellulose or other pollutants is introduced at the same time with the water or subsequently thereto and then stirred by washing mechanical means, wherein said container 1 has a concentric surface 3 inside it which is provided with holes and forms an annular chamber 4 and wherein one or two vertical rotary shafts 5 and 6 are provided rotating in opposite directions with respect to each other and respectively bearing two series of radial agitators 7 and 8 penetrating into each other in the center of the container so that the water containing paper or cellulose fibers or other pollutants passes through the holes being thus discharged separately from the plastic film and wherein each of said series of agitators 7 and 8 carries one or more agitators provided

  • Patent number: 4435523
Abstract: A process for producing injection molded articles of foamed thermoplastic material via injecting of a molten mass of thermoplastic material containing a foaming agent into a mold cavity is improved so as to substantially reduce production time by the utilization of a step introducing a cold compressed gas into the mold cavity internally of the injected mass of material, while it is still at least internally molten. The article produced by the process is characterized by an outer skin of tightly structured material surrounding a body of microcellular foam material having an internal void or voids bounded by material of a tightly structured nature.
