  • Publication number: 20190103745
Abstract: In one embodiment, the disclosure provides a load control system for providing power to one or more electronic devices, such as a lightbulb. The load control system includes a line terminal, a load terminal, an input interface, and a power output controller. The power output controller is electrically coupled to the line terminal and the load terminal. The power output controller is configured to receive a nominal line voltage at the line terminal, and is further configured to provide a nominal load voltage at the load terminal. The power output controller is configured to receive an input gesture from the input interface, and generate a formatted control signal based at least in part on the input gesture, and an identity of a first controlled device electrically coupled to the load terminal. The power output controller is configured to transmit the formatted control signal to the first controlled device.

  • Publication number: 20180173416
Abstract: A touch-control device is described, comprising a first load controller connectable to control a first endpoint electrically coupled to the load controller; a touch-input surface associated with the first load controller; a network interface communicatively coupled with a network interface of a second touch-control device, wherein the second touch-control device includes a second load controller connectable to control a second endpoint electrically coupled to the second load controller; and a processor configured to generate a first gesture signal representative of a first gesture at the touch-input surface, select the second endpoint as a target device, the selecting based at least in part on the first gesture, and control the target device based, at least in part, on the first gesture signal.

  • Publication number: 20140253483
Abstract: An in-wall, touch-actuated electronic control device makes use of gesture motions. A touch sensor permits a user to input control commands through the use of one or more one- or two-dimensional gestures such as one- or two-fingered tapping; swiping; tracing; pinching; and zooming, allowing for a significant increase in the potential number of network endpoints that can be controlled from, and also in the number of control signals that can be generated by, a single touch-control device. The touch-control device may include both a direct load controller such as a light switch or dimmer as well as a network connection to allow control of networked devices, either on a local network (for example a home WiFi network) or, for example, Web applications hosted on a remote server.
