  • Publication number: 20230372804
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus, including a program encoded on computer-readable medium, for interactive training or entertainment. Each of multiple platform components interconnects with at least one other platform component and includes visual indicators, a detector substantially adjacent to each indicator for detecting a proximate game accessory, and a detector microcontroller. A main control unit receives data frames from the detectors and determines a quantity of detectors in an interconnected set of platform components based on data contained in the data frames. A memory stores a plurality of routines. The main control unit is adapted to execute a selected routine based at least in part on the determined quantity of detectors. The selected routine defines a sequence of activation of the indicators in the interconnected set of platform components.

  • Publication number: 20210402419
Abstract: A liquid treatment unit removes particulate matter and colloids from a liquid, as found in waste water on mines, on construction sites and on heavy industry sites. The liquid treatment unit includes an electrocoagulation unit and a cyclonic separator unit. The liquid to be treated is first subject to electrocoagulation and then fed into the cyclonic separator unit. The cyclonic separator unit guides the electrocoagulated liquid in a circular path downwardly from an outer perimeter to move underneath a skirt and then upwardly and inwardly towards a central outlet located at the top of the cyclonic separator. Floating particles are skimmed from the surface outside of the skirt. In moving to the outlet, the liquid passes through a plurality of nested frusto-conical guide members. An ultrasonic transducer is used to collapse bubbles formed by electrocoagulation, and to clean the electrocoagulation electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20200334944
Abstract: Apparatus for playing a game has a set of cards. Each card has at least one matrix of m cells displaying a set of n differing symbols on each card, the layout of the symbols differing from matrix to matrix on the cards with each symbol appearing once on each matrix. In play, the symbols a random process is used to rank the symbols and the ranking of each symbol on a card is recorded. Adjacent symbols having sequential rankings are recognized by displaying links between these cells. Play continues until all symbols in the matrix have been ranked. Single play or multi-player games can be conducted with these cards as well as the sale of “scratch and win” cards.

  • Patent number: 10648937
Abstract: A method for nondestructive inspection of ceramic structures present as either a ceramic matrix composite structure or a ceramic based coating. Such non-metallic structures are used to provide thermal protection or weight reduction or both to aircraft and their components. The nonmetallic structure is scanned with an electromagnetic pulse in the range of 200 GHz to 4 THz. The electromagnetic pulse includes a plurality of frequencies within the Terahertz range and is not restricted to a single designated frequency. The frequency range is sensitive to changes in impedances and refractive index within the structure. After the electromagnetic pulse passes through the nonmetallic structure, it may be evaluated for changes in impedance in the nonmetallic structure at different locations, and, when present, whether the changes in impedance impact the ability of the structure to perform the function for which it was designed.

  • Publication number: 20190156617
Abstract: Apparatus for playing a game has a set of cards (printed or displayed electronically on a VDU). Each card (102) has at least one matrix of m cells (100) displaying a set of n differing symbols (101) on each card (102), the layout of the symbols (101) differing from matrix to matrix on the cards (102) with each symbol (101) appearing once on each matrix. In play, the symbols (101) a random process is used to rank the symbols (101) and the ranking (110) of each symbol (101) on a card is recorded. Adjacent symbols having sequential rankings (110) are recognized by displaying links (112) between these cells (two such links are shown at this stage of play).
