  • Patent number: 8396710
Abstract: A distributed voice user interface system includes a local device which receives speech input issued from a user. Such speech input may specify a command or a request by the user. The local device performs preliminary processing of the speech input and also provides the speech input to a remote system. The local device is able to update its recognition capabilities based on analysis of the speech, input by the remote system.

  • Publication number: 20120072221
Abstract: A distributed voice user interface system includes a local device which receives speech input issued from a user. Such speech input may specify a command or a request by the user. The local device performs preliminary processing of the speech input and determines whether it is able to respond to the command or request by itself. If not, the local device initiates communication with a remote system for further processing of the speech input.

  • Patent number: 7242760
Abstract: An arrangement is provided for enhancing the operational capabilities of a call center by automatically detecting when an agent is available. When an agent answers a routed call, corresponding to a call-back request, the agent enters an agent ID, representing the agent. The entered agent ID is encoded into DTMF tones. A telephony server detects the DTMF tones.

  • Patent number: 6792102
Abstract: An arrangement is provided for matching a routed call to an agent workstation. An agent working at an agent station of a call center enters an agent ID when the agent answers a routed call. The routed call is therefore associated with the agent ID. The agent ID is encoded into DTMF tones which is detected by a telephony server so that the encoded agent ID can be extracted. The extracted agent ID is then sent to a browser server. The agent ID is then used by the browser server to identify a workstation that is represented by the same agent ID by matching the received agent ID with the workstation.

  • Publication number: 20030002651
Abstract: A method and system is provided for data integration with interactive voice response systems. A telephony server receives a request for a call-back, issued by a user at a user station by selecting telephone information service via a web browser. The request may include a phone number to be used for the requested call-back and relevant customer information. The telephony server then places a phone call to a call center that provides the telephone information service and that includes comprising an interactive voice response system, an automatic call distributor, and a customer relation management system. The call, placed by the telephony server to the call center, delivers information relevant to the request to the automatic call distributor and the customer relation management system based on an interactive voice response tree used by the interactive voice response system.

  • Publication number: 20020198943
Abstract: A web-enabled 2-way remote messaging mechanism is described that allows a client to receive instant notification from an event producer based on subscription, to access data generated by the event producer, and to post messages to the event producer.

  • Patent number: 5269015
Abstract: A computer system includes a processor and bus logic, a decode logic circuit for the processor and bus logic access, a memory subsystem and at least one output port. Writes by the processor and bus logic to an output port also update corresponding location in memory through the decode logic. In one arrangement, a logical "OR" gate enables the memory in response to an output of the decode logic for activating the memory subsystem or an output of the decode logic for activating the output port.
