The external spare provides solid mounting surface for attaching a collapsible accessory mount without interfering with access to the trunk or rear hatch of the vehicle, and may be installed and removed without making permanent modifications to the vehicle frame or chassis. A collapsible accessory mount includes a central bracket and a plurality of arms, each arm configured to extend beyond the radius of the automobile tire, where each of said arms may be releasably attached to the tire using tire connectors.
