  • Patent number: 11776374
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved electronic fall monitoring system comprising a device having multiple sensor ports for flexibly monitoring various sensors associated with a single patient without requiring repeated connections and disconnections of sensors. With several sensors simultaneously connected at different locations, a processor can execute to ensure that only one sensor, corresponding to one patient, is monitored at any given time, including by triggering an alarm when a second sensor is triggered while a first sensor is in use. Accordingly, the system can provide a “one step transfer” in which a caregiver may simply press hold once to transfer a patient from one sensed area to another. In addition, the caregiver can simply actuate a single input with only a momentary press to allow suspension of monitoring for a shorter duration (hold) or a longer press to allow suspension of monitoring for a longer duration (extended hold).

  • Publication number: 20230277009
Abstract: An automated pizza-making system builds and bakes a pizza according to a customer order. The system includes a pizza assembly route and a plurality of ingredient dispensing stations for dispensing ingredients onto the pizza along the route. The uncooked pizza is automatically transferred to the oven for cooking. After the pizza is cooked, the system automatically slices and boxes the cooked pizza. A motion translator places the closed pizza box containing the pizza in a storage locker for customer pickup. A computing device is operable to manage the orders, manage the cooking steps for preparing each order, controls each functional station to build, cook, box, and store the pizza, and notify the customer for pickup when the pizza is ready. Related methods are also described.

With several sensors simultaneously connected at different locations, a processor can execute to ensure that only one sensor, corresponding to one patient, is monitored at any given time, including by triggering an alarm when a second sensor is triggered while a first sensor is in use. In addition, operation of the device can be simplified with a single multi-color LED illuminating in different colors corresponding to different states of the system. Also, a power switch for turning the device on or off, such as for conserving power, can be placed in a recess of the device so that it is blocked when mounted, thereby avoiding being turned off when it should be monitoring.

  • Patent number: 8937263
Abstract: A capacitive discharge (CD) welder includes a charging circuit, a capacitor bank, an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT), a pulse transformer and a secondary circuit. The charging circuit takes incoming electricity and charges a capacitor bank. The capacitor bank stores energy. The IGBT electrically connects and disconnects the capacitor bank to the pulse transformer. The pulse transformer reduces voltage from that stored in the capacitor bank to the desired welding voltage. The secondary circuit electrically connected to the pulse transformer provides a welding current corresponding to the output to the material being welded.
