Abstract: An apparatus (1) with a container (2) for containing insects, a receiving member (200) upon which an insect in the container can lay an egg and an actuator (10) for removing the receiving member from the container once an egg has been laid upon the receiving member. The apparatus is for removing individual insect eggs from a container which contains many live insects. The individual eggs, once removed from the container, may be used in an individualized rearing process.

Abstract: A method of storing a data set on a storage device carrying a file of random data comprising the steps of: selecting, in dependence on a user input passphrase, a first location within the file of random data for storing a file index (FI); selecting a second location within the file of random data for storing the data set; encrypting the data set (D); storing the encrypted data set at the second selected location in the file of random data; making an entry in the file index in respect of the data set, the entry comprising an indication of the second selected location; encrypting the file index; and storing the encrypted file index at the first selected location in the file of random data. Abstract: A portal electronic site (3) system to aid in navigating and searching particularly on the internet The site supplies to the user one or more electronic pages, at least one of the pages acting as an input page facilitating input of information by the user and at least one of the pages acting as a link page including at least one link to a respective destination electronic site (4). The link page is arranged so that a user is directed to the respective destination electronic site when a link is activated by a user, and the system is arranged so that, provided that the link is activated by the user after the user has input information via the input page, at least some of the information input by the user via the input page is supplied to the respective destination electronic site. The link page may comprise respective links to a plurality of sites and may be arranged so that as user can activate a plurality of links by first selecting the links and then using a link activation object.
