  • Patent number: 11484633
Abstract: A multi-stage system for warming blood that enables safe and rapid blood transfusions in the field. The first stage of the system is a rapid blood warming device that heats blood quickly from cold storage to body temperature. This stage may use a high-energy power source, such as AC power, that is available in a facility such as a hospital. The second stage is a portable heated blood transport device into which heated blood bags are placed for transportation to a patient. This device keeps the blood bags warm using battery power. Because blood bags are pre-heated with the rapid warming device, the transport device can be lightweight and portable. An optional third stage is a transfusion temperature regulating device that boosts the final temperature of blood just before it enters the patient. All three devices may have sensors and controllers that maintain blood temperature within desired ranges.

  • Patent number: 10378170
Abstract: An animal trap (T) has an attached chain (C) and anchor (A). A driver (10) for driving the anchor into the ground has a shaft (12) with upper and lower sections (12A, 12B), the upper section having a smaller diameter than the lower section. The bottom (14) of the shaft is contoured to mate with the anchor. A handle (16) facilitates removal of the shaft from the ground after the anchor is driven into place. The handle has a sleeve (18) slidably fitting over the upper section of the shaft and an arm (22) extending outwardly from the sleeve for grasping by a user of the driver. A cap (24) fits onto the upper end of the shaft and is struck by a tool used to drive the shaft into the ground and set the anchor in place.

  • Patent number: 9173390
Abstract: A trap clip (10, 20) for securely holding a trap (T) in a desired place until the trap is set off. The trap clip is of a one-piece carbon spring wire construction and in one embodiment (10) has a generally U shape. The trap clip includes a set of wound coils (1) formed along and centered on a base (3) of the trap clip. The trap clip further includes a pair of legs (2) one of which extends at generally right angles from respective end of the base, so to form the U shape of the trap clip. When installed, the legs both support and firmly grip the trap to hold in place on a pole (P) until the trap captures an animal.

  • Publication number: 20140252184
Abstract: The present trap support is light weight, durable, easily adjustable, compact, holds traps securely until trap is set off, and also is adaptable to different sizes and styles of traps. It is intended for use on various sizes of smooth fiberglass rods which is also durable and light in weight. When used for muskrats in open water it makes a fast and safe setup as the traps are elevated in the water column just under the surface of the water. When an animal is caught it falls off the support and the chain which is attached to the pole slides down the pole and drowns. Normally one would set on the bank in shallow water or on the muskrat houses where undesirable catches could be made. There has thus been outlined, rather broadly some of the features of the invention in order that the detailed description therefore can be better understood. There are additional features of the invention that will be described later and that will form the subject matter of the claims.
