  • Patent number: 6739363
Abstract: A funnel set includes a large funnel and a small funnel nestable therein and a strainer which can be seated in either funnel. The large funnel has lugs to retain the strainer and the strainer has an upstanding central handle stem. When the strainer is seated in the large funnel and the small funnel is nested in the large funnel, the narrow outlet end of the small funnel receives the strainer's handle stem and the tip of a handle on the small funnel fits within an aperture in the handle of the large funnel. Both funnels have longitudinal, circumferentially spaced, elastomeric strips on the outer surfaces thereof, and elastomeric grip portions on the handles.

  • Patent number: 6652405
Abstract: A multi-speed wheel hub includes a sun gear engagement clutch and a housing engagement clutch. A single shift ring is coupled to and rotates with the input member. The shift ring is positioned between the sun gear engagement clutch and the housing engagement clutch. The shift ring is axially movable along the input member. Upon movement of the shift ring in a first direction, a first engagement clutch of the shift ring engages the sun gear engagement clutch so that torque from the input member is transmitted by the shift ring to the sun gear through a planet carrier and a ring gear to the housing. Upon movement of the shift ring in a second direction a second engagement clutch of the shift ring engages the housing engagement clutch so that torque from the input member is transmitted by the shift ring directly to the housing.

  • Patent number: 6405683
Abstract: A leash handle assembly having a housing with a grip portion, a spool assembly rotatably mounted in the housing, a trigger movably mounted to the grip portion, and a dual-position switch mounted to the housing proximate to the grip portion. The spool assembly is adapted for winding and unwinding a leash cord. The movable trigger is actuated to inhibit the leash cord from extending or retracting, and released to enable the leash cord to extend out of the housing in response to an external force. The spooling assembly is spring biased to cause the leash cord to retract in the absence of trigger actuation and the presence of a preset external force. The dual-position switch operates in a first position to lock the trigger in an actuated position and in a second position to enable the moveable trigger to operate freely. The dual-mode switch is positioned to enable a user to actuate it with the same hand that grasps the leash handle and actuates the movable trigger.

  • Patent number: 6130944
Abstract: A one piece stand is utilized with a telephone console to provide multiple console orientations with respect to a mounting surface. The stand includes two or more mounting surfaces, each of which can be mounted to the base of the console to provide a particular angular orientation. A biased handset hook is also included. The hook can be switched between wall mount and desk mount configurations without removal from the console by using an access port on the base of the console. A spring force maintains the hook in a desired position in a bayonet fitting. The spring-loaded hook can absorb the force from a handset by retracting into the console without breaking and returning to its normal position when the force is removed.

  • Patent number: 6117040
Abstract: A novel multi-speed wheel hub having a housing, an input member, including a sun gear, disposed in the housing, a planet carrier, including a plurality of planet gears, disposed about the sun gear. There is also a ring gear disposed about the planet gears. The multi-speed wheel hub includes a shifting system including a piston. A first shift ring is mechanically coupled to the piston by a plurality of first push rods and a second shift ring is mechanically coupled to the first shift ring by a plurality of second push rods. The piston activates the first and second shift rings, such that, when the first shift ring is engaged and the second shift ring is disengaged, the ring gear is locked to the housing so that a torque is transmitted from the sun gear through the planet carrier to the wheel.

  • Patent number: 5935111
Abstract: An applicator (10) to deliver a medication from a first interacting cylinder (15) and piston (16) and a marking dye from a second interacting cylinder (20) and piston (21). Extending from the second piston (21) is a piston rod (23) which is engaged by the second piston (16) so as to be moved thereby.
