Abstract: An on-board diagnostic system for detecting malfunction conditions in a hydraulic valve train of a MultiAir™ engine. The system comprises a plurality of pressure sensors for generating pressure signals located in a hydraulic circuit of the hydraulic valve train; and an engine control module for performing a waveform analysis of the pressure signals to detect malfunction conditions in the hydraulic valve train. The engine control module performs a frequency and/or time delay waveform analysis.

Abstract: An imaging system having an imaging assembly having an imaging device for generating imaging signals corresponding to images of anatomy of a patient disclosed. The imaging assembly, which may be a component of a feeding tube assembly, transmits the imaging signals generated to a console, which presents images generated corresponding to the imaging signals on a display. A reference menu is presented on the display including menu items, which correspond to reference materials including photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, diagrams, animations, and/or text. Each of the materials provides information about anatomy, patient preparation, imaging catheter preparation, imaging catheter placement, imaging catheter operation, imaging catheter features, console preparation, console operation, console features, system operation, system features, and/or contact information.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention reduces the external resistance of a transistor by utilizing a silicon germanium alloy for the source and drain regions and a nickel silicon germanium self-aligned silicide (i.e., salicide) layer to form the contact surface of the source and drain regions. The interface of the silicon germanium and the nickel silicon germanium silicide has a lower specific contact resistivity based on a decreased metal-semiconductor work function between the silicon germanium and the silicide and the increased carrier mobility in silicon germanium versus silicon. The silicon germanium may be doped to further tune its electrical properties. A reduction of the external resistance of a transistor equates to increased transistor performance both in switching speed and power consumption.

Abstract: A method of forming a solid layer of a semiconducting material on an external surface of a treated mold which extends between a leading edge and a trailing edge comprises selectively modifying a temperature gradient of a mold such that a temperature of the leading edge (T1) is less than a temperature of the trailing edge (T2) to form the treated mold. The method further comprises submersing the treated mold into a molten semiconducting material such that the leading edge of the treated mold is first submersed into the molten semiconducting material. The method also comprises withdrawing the treated mold from the molten semiconducting material to form the solid layer of the semiconducting material on the external surface of the treated mold.

Abstract: Exemplary method, system, and computer program product embodiments for cryptographic erasure of selected encrypted data are provided. In one embodiment, by way of example only, data files are configured with a derived key. The derived keys adapted to be individually shredded in a subsequent erasure operation. The derived key allows for cryptographic erasure of the selected encrypted data in the data files without necessitating at least one of removal and rewrite of retained data. Additional system and computer program product embodiments are disclosed and provide related advantages.

Abstract: Present embodiments provide a light fixture having rotatable light modules and an extendable hinged mounting assembly. The light modules are electrically coupled to the light fixture via a cord and a grommet/bracket feature which provides strain relief and a waterproof barrier. The extendable hinged mounting assembly allows the light fixture to be mounted onto a ceiling or other structure while providing a mounted position and an install position.

Abstract: Reducing the microvoid (MV) density in AlN ameliorates numerous problems related to cracking during crystal growth, etch pit generation during the polishing, reduction of the optical transparency in an AlN wafer, and, possibly, growth pit formation during epitaxial growth of AlN and/or AlGaN. This facilitates practical crystal production strategies and the formation of large, bulk AlN crystals with low defect densities—e.g., a dislocation density below 104 cm?2 and an inclusion density below 104 cm?3 and/or a MV density below 104 cm?3.

Abstract: Media content, including content suitable for streaming, is distributed to and accessible over a communications network by computer nodes within a peer storage network of computer nodes hosting respective content stores. Discrete portions of a content file are multiply distributed to and persisted in a distributed set of the content stores existing within the storage network such that various content stores persist subsets of the content file portions. A computer node retrieves the discrete portions of the content file from the various distributed content stores, depending on node availability, the particular discrete portions there available, and node and network performance factors sufficient to maintain a minimum quality of service, thereby enabling streaming presentation of the content file on the requesting computer node.

Abstract: A hot melt adhesive composition can be used to laminate substrates together in construction industry and industrial maintenance and assembly applications. The hot melt adhesive composition is sprayable to form a thin layer (1 to 200 microns in thickness) on a substrate. The hot melt adhesive can cure by exposure to moisture or harden by cooling, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a virtual professionals community for conducting virtual consultations with suggested professionals includes receiving, in a server, data associated with a plurality of professionals, including a specialty descriptive of one or more of the plurality of professionals. The server can receive a peer performance rating for one of the plurality of professionals generated by a second of the plurality of professionals. A client can submit, to the server, a search request that includes user-defined search criteria. The server can then search the received data based on the search criteria to select relevant professionals associated with the client's search request. The server can rank the selected relevant professionals based on peer performance ratings and the relevancy of the relevant professional to the search criteria. After ranking the selected professionals, the server can transmit a report of the relevant professionals ordered in the ranking determined by the server.

Abstract: Systems and methods for defining and tracking advertising campaigns across a channel video game network are disclosed. The system allows advertisements to be dynamically activated in video games. Advertisements are tracked to determine user impressions and user exposure to the advertisement. In the system, an impression area is defined relative an advertisements in the game. Methods for redefining the impression area or for accounting for the existence of obstructions that distort the view of the advertisement are also provided.

Abstract: A composite repair system and method for assisting in the repair of a cured composite part in which a damaged portion has been cut out and removed, exposing a plurality of composite plies and their cut edges, which are then taper sanded to expose a plurality of taper-sanded surfaces and their corresponding ply boundaries. The ply boundaries may be traced by a user with a marking device. The composite repair system may comprise an image capturing device to obtain an image of the traced ply boundaries and a computing device for processing creating a map of the traced ply boundaries based on the image. The map may be used to manufacture filler plies having peripheral edges shaped to correspond with the ply boundaries for replacing the damaged portion of the composite part.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a virtual professionals community for conducting virtual consultations with suggested professionals includes receiving, at an electronic device, a request for data associated with a professional. A list of professionals can be transmitted to a client in response to the request. The client can select one of the professionals from the list of professionals. At a scheduled time for a virtual consultation, an appointment interface can be established between the client and professional. Prior to the virtual consultation, including immediately before the virtual consultation, a notification can be transmitted to the professional. The notification can include access to the appointment interface, and a selectable option corresponding to a professional insurance coverage for the virtual appointment. The professional insurance coverage can be based at least in part on the request and can have a coverage period corresponding to a duration of the virtual consultation.
