  • Patent number: 10348421
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment a device is usable to measure radio frequency (RF) signals including microwave signals to provide an alarm when a power level at its input exceeds predetermined levels. A user can attach the device to a coax cable on a microwave or wireless tower to determine if certain power levels are present and what levels are exceeded. If high power is indicated by the device, the user will then avoid attaching that coax cable to other measurement equipment which would be damaged by excessive RF power. The device is further usable, for example, to apply power to one coax cable in a cable bundle then identify which cable of the bundle is getting the power by connecting the device on the output end of each coax in the bundle, one by one.

  • Publication number: 20170069048
Abstract: Generally, in intellectual property management systems, there exists a process that performs calculations to determine and report which properties and respective rights have been granted/licensed in which territories and which properties and respective rights are available to license in which territories and for what period of time. Often, a user may be interested in the time period of availability, ownership, or sale of a property for a combination set of territories, languages, and rights. A system, method, and apparatus are provided creating and processing combination rule sets for licensable properties.

  • Publication number: 20160364817
Abstract: The invention takes advantage of multi-processing by separating independent aspects of calculation and reporting of licensable properties and assigning them to individual processing tasks. System, method, and apparatus, are provided for utilizing multi-processing to optimize calculations of licensable properties. The invention provides for defining the number of tasks to perform calculations with maximum throughput, assigning a distinct list of properties requiring processing to each task, executing multiple parallel Calculation Process tasks, each with a distinct task identifier and configured to read its list of properties, perform calculations and output results for each property, and terminate upon completion of its assigned list of properties.

  • Patent number: 8816673
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, an apparatus for analyzing signals comprises a spectrum analyzer and a frequency extension module. The spectrum analyzer includes an IF switch which switches between an internal IF signal and an external IF signal, and a LO coupler which is configured to output a portion of one or more LO signals. The frequency extension module is configured to receive the one or more LO signals from the spectrum analyzer and send an IF signal to the spectrum analyzer. A diplexer band switch is used to direct the low band signals to the spectrum analyzer and to direct the high band signals to the frequency extension module where they are downconverted to the external IF which is output to the IF switch.

  • Patent number: 8145166
Abstract: An enhanced programmable automatic level control loop comprising an input for receiving an input RF signal; a level modulator, wherein the level modulator receives the input RF signal and a control signal and wherein the level modulator produces a first signal; a mixer that receives the first signal and mixes it with an LO signal to produce a second signal; a programmable attenuator that receives the second signal and produces an output signal; a level detector that monitors RF power of the output signal and produces a DC voltage proportional to the RF power; and wherein the DC voltage is received at a loop amplifier which produces the control signal.

  • Patent number: 8011913
Abstract: Provided in one aspect is a method of melt blending comprising providing an extruder possessing addition points from a zero point to a 100 point the length of the extruder; adding at least one thermoplastic and at least one curable polymer at the zero to 10 point of the extruder; adding at least one silicone hydride at the 5 to 30 point of the extruder; adding at least one metal catalyst at the 20 to 60 point of the extruder, with the proviso that the metal catalyst is added at least 5 points farther down the extruder than the silicone hydride. Provided in another aspect is a hydrosilylation curative composition comprising a silicone hydride having the formula wherein H is hydrogen, and each R? is independently selected from hydrogen and C1 to C10 alkyl groups; R? is selected from C1 to C10 alkyl groups; n is an integer from 5 to 45; and m is an integer from 5 to 45.

  • Publication number: 20020057269
Abstract: A process embodied in apparatus, methods, or software, which, given an identified set and its constituent subsets, identifies which subsets, and their constituent subsets, have been selected or excluded from the given set and the manner of such selection or exclusion. Using a preferred embodiment of the invention in software on a computer system with a graphical display, the process may he used to represent graphically in a “treelike” presentation the entire set of elements along with the identification of the elements selected from the set and the manner in which elements were selected or excluded to arrive at the net selection result.
