  • Patent number: 10495790
Abstract: Head-mounted displays (100) are disclosed which include a frame (107), an image display system (110) supported by the frame (107), and a Fresnel lens system (115) supported by the frame (107). The HMD (100) can employ a reflective optical surface, e.g., a free-space, ultra-wide angle, reflective optical surface (a FS/UWA/RO surface) (120), supported by the frame (107), with the Fresnel lens system (115) being located between the image display system (110) and the reflective optical surface (120). The Fresnel lens system (115) can include at least one curved Fresnel lens element (820). Fresnel lens elements (30) for use in HMDs are also disclosed which have facets (31) separated by edges (32) which lie along radial lines (33) which during use of the HMD pass through a center of rotation (34) of a nominal user's eye (35) or through the center of the eye's lens (36) or are normal to the surface of the eye's cornea.

  • Patent number: 10393485
Abstract: Provided is a mechanical broadhead for an arrow shaft includes a ferrule attachable to the arrow shaft and having a body with a longitudinal centerline that is substantially coaxial with the arrow shaft when attached. The ferrule body has a longitudinal slot and at least one blade is pivotally mounted to the ferrule, at least partially within the longitudinal slot. The blade is movable about a pivot between folded and deployed positions and extends generally in a forward direction from the pivot when in the folded position. The blade is pivotable from the folded position in a first direction and the pivot is positioned on the ferrule opposite the blade's first pivot direction at a point beyond the longitudinal centerline.

  • Patent number: 10137030
Abstract: The present technology provides a mandibular repositioning device (MRD) which may be self titratable. The MRD may be repositioned relative to the maxilla, e.g., the mandible may be brought, via the device, to a position forward of a neutral resting and/or bite position. The MRD allows for adjusting the maintained forward position by simply biting-down to preserve the desired degree of mandibular advancement. The present technology also allows for movement of the mandible in a lateral direction. The lateral movement is allowed for any forward longitudinal positioning of the mandible. The MRD may use a plurality of components that are coupled together and allow for lateral and longitudinal motion between each other. The present technology may be used in MRDs which may be self-fitted, typically by immersing the device in hot water and then biting into the device, making an impression of the teeth in the softened thermoplastic polymer.
