    Abstract: A remote sampling probe, for withdrawing fluid from a pipe through a filter capped sample tube extending into the pipe, is provided with a housing extending into the pipe and surrounding the outer portions of the sample tube, a source of relatively high pressure, controlled temperature secondary fluid, and a means for alternately introducing the secondary fluid into the housing to control the temperature of the sample withdrawn from the pipe and into the sample tube to backflush the filter.
