  • Patent number: 5584187
Abstract: A refrigeration plant having an associated but detachable receptacle for receiving chilled liquid. The refrigeration plant and receptacle are connected by manually detachable hoses to complete a recirculation system for the chilled liquid. The receptacle is insulated and portable. Beverage cans or other containers can be placed and chilled in the receptacle, and transported to another location. When additional containers are placed in the receptacle to replace those removed for consumption, the receptacle is reconnected to the refrigeration plant. The chilled liquid, which also chills the containers, is then renewed. An aqueous solution including a freeze point depressant, or plain water, is suitable for the chilled liquid. The refrigeration plant preferably includes a strainer and a flow control valve. The receptacle is preferably insulated and open at the top, and also may have a cover.
