  • Publication number: 20210022868
Abstract: Formable mesh implants suitable for correcting bone implants are disclosed. A formable mesh may include a plurality of node plates that define a lattice, where connecting arms extend from each node plate. Each connecting arm associated with a given node plate connects with a plurality of adjacent connecting arms at a respective intermediate connection region, such that each connecting arm associated with the given node plate is connected to a different intermediate connection region, and such that neighboring node plates are indirectly connected through multiple connecting arms. At least a subset of the node plates may respectively include a screw-receiving aperture, and the intermediate connection regions may be absent of screw-receiving apertures. In another example embodiment, a formable mesh is disclosed in which each connecting arm of a given node plate connects with an adjacent node plate, where adjacent node plates are directly connected through at least two connecting arms.

  • Patent number: 10870487
Abstract: An aircraft is operable to transition between thrust-borne lift in a VTOL orientation and wing-borne lift in a biplane orientation. The aircraft includes an airframe having first and second wings with first and second pylons extending therebetween forming a central region. A two-dimensional distributed thrust array and a flight control system are coupled to the airframe. A nose cone and an afterbody are each selectively coupled to the airframe. In a cargo delivery flight configuration, the nose cone and the afterbody are coupled to the airframe such that the nose cone and the afterbody each extend between the first and second wings and between first and second pylons to form a cargo enclosure with an aerodynamic outer shape. In a minimal drag flight configuration, the nose cone and the afterbody are not coupled to the airframe such that air passes through the central region during flight.

  • Patent number: 10784025
Abstract: One embodiment relates to a method for producing cable. The method includes applying an insulative coating to each of a plurality of conductors to form a plurality of insulated conductors. The method further includes taking up the plurality of insulated conductors in a twisting system to twist the plurality of insulated conductors together and apply a first portion of a desired twist to the plurality of insulated conductors. The method further includes paying off the plurality of insulated conductors from the twisting system to further twist the plurality of insulated conductors together and apply a second portion of a desired twist to the plurality of insulated conductors to form a twisted plurality of insulated conductors.

  • Publication number: 20200162457
Abstract: Systems, computer products, and methods are described herein for improved authentication utilizing two factor authentication of a user. The two factors include a verified identification and a liveness identification. The verified identification may be a governmental verified identification, and the liveness identification may be a video of the user. The user may capture the verified identification and the liveness identification using the user's mobile device. The organization may authenticate the user by identifying the user from the verified identification image and identifying that the user is active by identifying movement from the liveness identification image. Additional authentication may include requiring and/or identifying an identifier from the liveness identification image (e.g., movement, object, characters, or the like), and/or capture image data related to a time or a location at which the images were captured.

  • Patent number: 10465610
Abstract: Combustion sections and sealing systems for fuel ignition assemblies of gas turbine engine combustion sections are provided. For example, a sealing system comprises a ferrule positioned on an outer surface of a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) combustor liner an aperture defined in the CMC liner; a sleeve positioned within an adapter of the fuel ignition assembly such that an inner end portion of the sleeve is in contact with the ferrule, the sleeve having an end wall that forms an inner boundary of a cavity defined by the sleeve; and a biasing member positioned within the cavity. The biasing member extends between a bushing and the end wall of the sleeve. The biasing member continuously urges the sleeve into contact with the ferrule to seal the aperture against fluid leakage therethrough. The exemplary sealing system may be part of a fuel ignition assembly of a gas turbine engine combustion section.

  • Publication number: 20180336326
Abstract: Systems, computer products, and methods are described herein for electronic authentication with bot detection and denial. In this way, the system utilizes user device information to discern an authorization or authentication is being requested by a human as part of either an authentication process or authorization process. As such, the system identifies that the user is a human and not a bot or other device attempting to gain authorization. In some embodiments, the system links to a user device and in one or more embodiments reviews live video in the form of a real-time video stream, requires human movement of a user device, identifies device irregularities, and/or device networking interactions to prove the request for authorization is a human request.

  • Patent number: 9897087
Abstract: In many fields, such as manufacturing and mining, compressed air is used as a power source for industrial equipment, hand power tools, etc. Extensive compressed air systems are installed in these environments to supply compressed air where it is needed. In mining, extensive belts are frequently used to move mined material. Idler rollers are located intermittently along these belts. Embodiments of the present invention include compressors located within these idler rollers. As the belt moves and causes the roller to turn, a compressor within the roller generates compressed air. Because the belt moves nearly continuously, but the compressed air may not be consumed continuously, the air will be vented periodically. Embodiments of the present invention use these vents to clean the filters for the system. Also, some embodiments of the compressor may be produced using a laminated, or stacked, method.
