Abstract: A circuit board socket having a square hollow body, a pair of folded cantilever springs extending from one end of the body, the cantilever springs having divergent first arms, bight portions and convexly bowed second arms extending back into the interior of the body with contact surfaces normally engaging each other within the body, legs on the other end of the body for mounting the socket on and subsequent soldering to a printed circuit board, a tab closing the other end of the body adjacent the legs integral with the body and a seam extending along one side of the body and partially around the tab.
