  • Publication number: 20240106485
Abstract: A system that has a protective cellular device case coupled to a cellular device and having a pocket formed by at least two layers of the protective cellular device case, the protective cellular device case further having an activation button. Further, the system has a printed circuit board (PCB) situated in a pocket formed between at least two layers of the protective cellular device case, the PCB having an oscillator and an actuator interface, the processor covers a camera and flash dock by actuating a cover via the actuator interface and interferes with microphones on the cellular device upon depression of an activation button.

  • Patent number: 8380816
Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing and distributing bundled code objects to, for example, set-top boxes serviced by a multi-service operator. The system and method creates different profiles, each including code objects, download conditions and so on. The different profiles are then combined in a code download bundle and the code download bundle is downloaded to a service center, which further distributes the bundle to a plurality of site servers which distribute the information in the bundle to the appropriate destinations, such as set-top boxes used with cable television service.

Date of Patent: February 19, 2013
    Assignee: General Instrument Corporation

  • Publication number: 20070079746
Abstract: A retractable arch system for a boat is provided that includes at least four substantially vertical legs for permanent installation on the boat. A first traverse member forms a first arch and is removably coupled by first and second separable couplings to two of the legs. A second traverse member forms a second arch and is pivotally coupled by first and second pivotal couplings to the other two of the legs. The system has an upright position for extending of the first and second arches and securing the first and second separable couplings. The system further has a retracted position in which the first and second separable couplings are disassembled and the arches are pivoted downwardly.

  • Patent number: 5791277
Abstract: An inboard rudder 6 harbors within a bearing assembly 12 which passes vertically from a hull 10 of a boat 2 to a cockpit floor 8 of the boat 2 such that the inboard rudder 6 can be rotated around a vertical (z) axis 7 by a tiller 14 and raised or lowered by pulling or pushing on the top of rudder 6. Rudder 6 can be rotated about an axis (y) parallel to the width of the boat 2, in the fore and aft direction, by pulling or pushing on tiller 14 thereby altering a sweep angle 28 of the rudder (FIG. 3). Rudder 6 can be rotated about an axis (x) perpendicular to the length of the boat 2.

  • Patent number: 4004455
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for use in detecting flaws in the bolt hole area of railroad rails and the like, and is adapted to detect and record the location of an oversized hole indicating a crack or the like. The apparatus utilizes an ultrasonic transducer detector which is actuated by a free running pulse generator, and includes a counter and associated circuitry which compares the time required for the pulse to travel through the rail with a preset time and, if the rail has no flaw, causes an output to be produced that is used to reset the counter. The counter is also triggered by a speed related pulse generator that effectively measures the distance traveled by the car along the rail and thereby measures the size of the flaw. A flaw exceeding a predetermined size which is approximately the diameter of bolt holes, will trigger an alarm and cause a recorder to be activated.
