  • Publication number: 20060201929
Abstract: A resistance heating system is provided which includes a resistance heater, a source of alternating current electricity connected by conductors to the resistance heater, and a controller comprising a timer arranged to connect the source of alternating current electricity to the resistance heater for a selected time period and to disconnect the source from the resistance following the selected time period. In an embodiment, the resistance heating system is provided with a controller configured to be connected to a source of alternating current electricity and having a plurality of cable plug receptacles arranged to receive electricity. An electricity conducting cable having a cable plug at one end is configured to be received in the receptacles and has a resistance heater provided at an opposite end. A master timer may be connected with a communication arrangement to the controller. The master timer is arranged to control an electric output of a plurality of the receptacles.

  • Publication number: 20050109412
Abstract: A retaining device for a tube plug made of an elastomeric material and having a generally hollow body elongated along an axis, with a closed front end and an open rear end leading to a central axially extending blind hole having a predetermined diameter is provided which is a generally cylindrical non-expandable insert member having a diameter slightly greater than the blind hole diameter and an enlarged head portion, wherein, upon insertion of the insert member into the central blind hole of the tube plug, the tube plug body will be diametrically enlarged.

  • Publication number: 20050109413
Abstract: A tube plug kit including a tube plug having a housing member and a locking member, the housing member having a smooth longitudinal bore communicating with a threaded portion, the locking member mounted on the housing member. An insert member having a first threaded end portion is received within the threaded portion of the bore, an enlarged portion positioned to be drawn within the smooth portion of the longitudinal bore in response to rotation of the insert member in the longitudinal bore and a drive portion configured to receive a torque applying tool in a rotationally driving manner. A torque limiting region is located in the insert member to limit an amount of torque the drive portion can transmit to the first threaded end portion.

  • Patent number: 6495051
Abstract: A method for separating a blood component, e.g., fibrin monomer, from blood or plasma. The method utilizes a container with a reaction chamber for receiving the plasma. The reaction chamber is defined by a wall and an agent is supplied to the reaction chamber for converting the fibrinogen content of the plasma into a non-cross-linked fibrin polymer. The method also utilizes a device for centrifuging the reaction chamber with the plasma and the agent to a degree sufficient for separating the non-cross-linked fibrin polymer from the plasma, for depositing the polymer on the outer wall of the reaction chamber, and for expelling the remaining plasma from the reaction chamber. A solvent is supplied to the reaction chamber for dissolving the non-cross-linked fibrin polymer. The solvent is supplied to the reaction chamber in a first amount for dissolving the non-cross-linked fibrin polymer which is less than the total amount of solvent for dissolving the polymer.
