  • Patent number: 4484770
Abstract: Tubing and fittings with cast-in-place liners. Relatively thin and lightweight liners can be made of relatively expensive or inconvenient materials to provide chemical resistance or other special requirements. The liner can be cast in place in a jacket made of less expensive material to provide the necessary strength. To couple a pair of these tubings, the jacket of one is cut back to expose an end portion of the liner. The exposed end portion is flared outwardly against a sleeve to form a tapered seal surface. The liner of the other tubing has a nose that projects beyond the end of its jacket with a tapered seal surface that bears against the other tapered surface. A compression device such as a nut or a clamp holds the tubings together.

  • Patent number: 4475915
Abstract: A holder for holding a syringe and an ampoule to facilitate the transfer of liquid from the ampoule to the syringe. The holder has a body with a trough-like section to receive the ampoule, and a wall member on the body adjacent to the trough-like section which is adapted to be abutted by an ampoule resting in the trough-like section. There is an aperture through the wall member to receive and support a portion of the syringe with its needle projecting into the trough-like section where it will puncture the ampoule. A rest member is spaced from the wall member and it has an aperture to receive and support the syringe. At least a portion of the boundary of each of the apertures serves to align the syringe so its needle is directed accurately toward an ampoule that rests in the trough-like section. If desired, a magnifier can extend at least part of the distance between the rest member and the wall member to improve the readability of the numbers on the syringe.

  • Patent number: 4242021
Abstract: A truck mounted binding post comprised of a shank and a mast having a plurality of laterally extending pads through which a tie pin is secured to form at least one clevis or shackle. The binding post is formed with a parting line between the shank and the mask just beneath the pads permitting the shank to be molded in a variety of shapes and sizes independent of the mast. Threaded mounting holes are provided at a side and bottom of the shank for securing the binding post to a truck body.
