    Abstract: An acoustically active hot tub has audio transducers affixed to the underside of the shell forming the hot tub. The hot tub reproduces sound from a sound source such as a radio or compact disc player. Effective transducers will generally have a frequency response somewhere in the range of 20 Hz-20,000 Hz. The transducers are affixed to the underside of the shell of the hot tub by means of blocks of marine grade plywood embedded into the material forming the underside of the shell, with the transducers mounted onto the blocks. Also provided is a new method for manufacturing the hot tub of the invention.
