  • Patent number: 7597458
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for replacing an incandescent lamp with a ceramic metal halide (“CMH”) lamp in a framing projector. A CMH base is connected to a framing projector body at a connection for an incandescent lamp base for an incandescent lamp. The CMH base positions a CMH lamp relative to a focal point of a reflector within the framing projector body. The CMH lamp is plugged into a CMH socket on the CMH base and the framing projector body includes an opening and connection for an incandescent base holding an incandescent lamp relative to the focal point. A CMH ballast for the CMH lamp is included and is connected to the CMH base and to an electrical connection of the incandescent lamp base.

  • Publication number: 20080192213
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for mounting and positioning an optical projector. First and second base members are aligned in parallel rows. A first upright arm extends from the first base member and is moveably secured such that the first upright arm is moveable relative to the first base member. A second upright arm opposed to the first upright arm, extends from the second base member and is moveably secured such that the second upright arm is moveable relative to the second base member. A cross member extends between the first and second upright arms and is moveably secured such that it is moveable relative to the first upright arm and the second upright arm. A mounting bracket is configured to attach to an optical projector and is moveably secured to the cross member such that the mounting bracket is moveable relative to the cross member.

  • Patent number: 5199782
Abstract: An illumination system for a vanity or the like in which a flat mirror mounted on a wall extends vertically from the vanity counter to the ceiling of a room. A recessed light source mounted in an enclosure is in juxtaposition with the mirror at the wall-to-ceiling junction over the vanity counter. An assembly of low voltage Xenon filled strip lights extends laterally within the enclosure to illuminate an arcuate reflector and is concealed from direct view by a horizontal portion of the enclosure. The enclosure has a downward facing aperture elongated according to the width of the mirror at the interface of the arcuate reflector with the mirror top edge. The mirror, light source and reflector cooperate to provide optimum vertical and horizontal plane illumination at the vanity counter and beyond.

  • Patent number: 5122933
Abstract: An elongated, lighted message and clearance lighting assembly for mounting into the conventional generally horizontal indentation adjacent the roof line of a cargo vehicle container body. A pair of elongated fiber-optic cables are individually encased in a correspondingly elongated enclosure to illuminate the interior of said enclosure and pass light through an outward translucent face of the enclosure to present a graphic message provided on a translucent strip inside the enclosure. The fiber-optic cables are constructed to propagate light flux longitudinally and also radially outward. A portion of the translucent face of the enclosure may be colored appropriately to provide the legally required clearance lighting function.

  • Patent number: 4947293
Abstract: A trailer or semi-trailer cargo container body clearance lighting system including a core light conducting material in the form of an elongated light-conducting strip clad about its cross-section with a translucent material layer having an index of refraction different from that of the core material to produce a light guide. The core and cladding are constructed to support lower and higher modes of light transmission and thereby provide lateral light emission as well as longitudinal propagation. A light source with light focusing reflectors is adapted to end-illuminate light guides for both sides of a container body from a single light source.
