  • Publication number: 20240031529
Abstract: A system and method for providing video conferencing are described herein. Original video streams from one or more cameras are sampled to form downscaled versions of the video stream. The downscaled version is analyzed to find regions of interest and generate metadata describing aspects of the regions of interest, including a region that includes a preferred speaker and the best view of each participant present together in the video conference. Cropping instructions are generated from the metadata, and portions of the original video stream are removed to form a set of presentation views for each participant, including the preferred speaker. The set of presentation views is stitched together to form a composite display for each participant viewing the stream remotely.

  • Patent number: 10996680
Abstract: This application discloses sensors to capture audio measurement in an environment around a vehicle and a computing system to classify audio measurements captured with one or more sensors mounted to a vehicle, wherein the classified audio measurements identify to a type of object in an environment around the vehicle, and fuse the classified audio measurements with measurements captured by at least one different type of sensor to detect the object in the environment around the vehicle, wherein a control system for the vehicle is configured to control operation of the vehicle based, at least in part, on the detected object. The computing system can also identify noise in the captured audio measurements originating from the vehicle and utilize the identified noise to detect faults in the vehicle, to perform proximity detection around the vehicle, or to perform noise cancelation operations in the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20160224325
Abstract: This application discloses a computing system configured to convert a virtual machine instruction set corresponding to a downloadable application into native code specific to the computing system. Prior to completion of the conversion of the virtual machine instruction set into native code specific to the computing system, the computing system can utilize a process virtual machine to execute the virtual machine instruction set to implement the downloadable application. After completion of the conversion of the virtual machine instruction set into native code specific to the computing system, the computing system can switch the execution of the virtual machine instruction set with the process virtual machine to execution of the native code by the computing system to implement the downloadable application.

  • Publication number: 20160068304
Abstract: A container assembly that includes a first container having a body with an opening at the top side of the first container and a connection extension at the bottom side of the first container; a second container having a body with a respective opening at the top side of the second container and a respective connection extension at the bottom side of the second container; and a connection band having a top side and a bottom side, and at each side, a connector mechanism for releasably holding at least one of said first and second containers and the connection band being further configured to enable releasably holding said containers in a bottom to bottom configuration. Preferably, the connection band has an outer peripheral circumscribing vertical wall surrounding an interior space which contains flanges that engages the connection extensions of the containers.

  • Patent number: 5809397
Abstract: A selective call messaging system comprises a control point satellite uplink (24) for transmission of source information to a satellite (12), the source information having timing information, a base station (16) for receiving the source information from the satellite and for retransmitting the source information to a receiver 18. A synchronization controller 29 is coupled to the receiver 18 and remotely coupled to the control point satellite uplink. The synchronization controller comprises a decoder (40) for decoding the timing information received from the base station to provide actual timing information, an absolute time source (28) that generates a reference time, a comparator (42) for comparing the actual timing information with the reference time to provide an offset signal (44) and a transmitter for forwarding the offset signal to the control point satellite uplink to adjust timing information at the control point satellite uplink.
