The ratio of the molecular weight of D to that of B ranges in accordance with the normalized molecular weight factor which may range from greater than 0 up to 180.times.10.sup.-6.

The adhesive composition contains a relatively minor amount of carboxyl groups, on average, per polymer chain in the composition and is particularly useful in the preparation of laminated structures via coextrusion or similar processes, wherein the various layers are brought together in the molten phase while in motion, when one or more layers in the laminated structure comprises a polar group reactive with the carboxyl groups.

In particularly preferred embodiments, the elastic fiber or film will contain at least one A-B-A triblock copolymer and an A-B' diblock copolymer.
