  • Publication number: 20010022893
Abstract: A digital audio/video disk recorder allows faster than real time recordation of audio/video data and the recordation of audio/video data before the activation of a record function. A Random Access Memory (RAM) buffer records audio/video data on a continuous basis so that such data has been recorded before the record function has been activated. Time code data based upon time code generated by a time code generator, the time code data accurately reflecting the presence of pre-record data, is saved to disk storage along with the audio/video data recorded.

  • Patent number: 5813695
Abstract: A gas generator assembly has an igniter post having a substantially tubular body. The body has a plurality of holes passing from the interior to the exterior of the body for igniting. A preformed head on one end of the body has a diameter larger than that of the body. A transverse wall closes off the tubular body opposite the head end. A ductile rim having a diameter comparable to the body diameter, is extendable through an opening in the combustion chamber wall after pellet loading the rim is flared outwardly to lock the post to the assembly, and thereby form an additional head on the igniter post.

  • Patent number: 5696832
Abstract: Apparatus for limiting and displaying fader levels employing a display device provided with a linear bar graph display having a plurality of bar graph segments and having an input to which a display signal of variable value can be applied. The display signal has a value range with predetermined maximum and minimum values. The device responds to any value of the display signal to illuminate a corresponding segment. A fader mechanism is manually adjustable to produce a fader signal of variable value. The fader signal has a value range with maximum and minimum values which respectively exceed and fall below the corresponding maximum and minimum values of the display signal. A computer has an input at which the fader signal is applied. The computer stores the maximum and minimum values of the display signal and compares the value of the fader signal with the stored values to produce a display signal.

  • Patent number: 5182654
Abstract: A set of offset signal values is obtained for use with a time base corrector unit which is capable of playing a video tape to produce a corresponding output video signal containing various viewing parameters such as video gain, chroma gain, set up and hue. A tape having a known set of parameter values and carrying test patterns is used together with a source of a standard reference video signal, and a source of a variable offset signal. The viewing parameter settings of the unit are adjusted to conform to the known set of parameter values. The tape is played in the unit, thus displaying the test pattern video output signal. The output signal is displayed with the reference signal, the reference signal containing the same parameters but with different values. An offset signal is applied to the input of the unit.

  • Patent number: 5036406
Abstract: A standard reference video tape, a source of a standard reference video signal and a source of a variable offset signal are adapted for use with a plurality of time base corrector units. Each unit is capable of playing a video tape to produce a corresponding video output signal containing various viewing parameters such as video gain, chroma gain, set up and hue, the viewing parameters having values which can be varied. The units have slightly different electrical characteristics so that when each of these units is caused to play the same tape at identical parameter values, the video output signals will differ from unit to unit. The referene tape is played in one of the units having parameter values preset for use with this tape, thereby producing a video output signal containing all parameters. The output signal is played together with the reference signal, the reference signal containing the same parameters but with different values. An offset signal is applied to the input of said one unit.
