    Abstract: A rigid frame is provided for a conventional air filter as used in ductwork of air handling systems in homes, buildings and the like. The frame includes a first section having a series of apertures and a second section slideably mounted thereto. The second section likewise includes a series of apertures for air passage. The method describes placing a conventional filter in the filter frame and adjusting its length to accommodate the selected filter, the filter can then be placed within the air handling system in a usual seat without fear of dislodgement due to flexing or bending of the air filter when it becomes loaded with dust and debris.
