In an inner central portion of a rear cover of the display apparatus, a boss bulged towards a display panel is formed integrally with the cover, with a distal end of the boss being fixedly coupled to a base chassis in such a manner that the boss end is opposed to part of the base chassis. The boss is formed in a substantially central position of a mounting region defined by four mounting holes to which wall-mounting metallic fixtures are to be mounted. Alternatively, the boss is formed in a substantially central position of the mounting region in a horizontal direction.
