  • Patent number: 7042896
Abstract: A method for managing a digital interface connection is provided. The method for managing the connection of plurality of devices which are point-to-point connected by a digital interface includes: where an arbitrary first device has to break a point-to-point connection between the first device and another device which is point-to-point connected to the first device, the first device sending a second device, which established the point-to-point connection, a connection release request command requesting the second device to break the connection and the second device receiving the connection release request command to analyze the connection release request command, and the second device breaking the point-to-point connection in response to the connection release request command. When a plurality of devices are point-to-point connected, the method enables the concerned device of the connection to break the connection, thus allowing for enhanced connection management efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6885631
Abstract: A connection management method between digital devices connected through a digital interface such as IEEE1394 is provided. According to the method, it is checked as to whether or not the digital device, which establishes a point-to-point connection, is one of two devices connected by the point-to-point connection and when the result of the checking indicates that the digital device, which manages the point-to-point connection, is not one of the two devices connected by the point-to-point connection, another point-to-point connection is established for the two connected devices. According to the method, the stability of the connection between devices is enhanced, and particularly, the point-to-point connection between the devices can be stably restored after a bus reset occurs.

  • Patent number: 6785720
Abstract: A method for contacting server devices in a browser-based home network in which the server devices each have a function of a web server and a client device into which a web browser is installed controls the server devices through the web browser. The method includes the steps of preparing a home page of the client device so as to display server device icons for selecting the server devices to be connected to, selecting one of the server devices to be connected to in the home page, reading a register (OPCR) in which an operation state and channel information of the selected server device are recorded from the selected server device, and completing connecting to the selected server device by recording the channel information of the selected server device in a register (IPCR) when the read operation state is active and checking the operation state of the selected server device by reading the register (OPCR) at predetermined time intervals when the read operation state is inactive.

  • Patent number: 6339601
Abstract: A method of, and frame synchronizing device for, synchronizing systems having a digital interface. The systems are synchronized by extracting frame time information from a signal transferred from an external source through a digital interface, generating a frame reset signal, delayed by predetermined time based on the extracted frame time information, and resetting the entire systems based on the generated frame reset signal. Also, the color burst signal is free-oscillated during the digital interface mode in order to accommodate to the frame reset signal, which has a variable period.

  • Patent number: 5880566
Abstract: An absolute angular position calculator for a rotating motor and a velocity control apparatus adopting the same, in which a separate pulse generator is not used. The motor is manufactured so that a modified frequency generator generates a modified frequency signal by removing one pulse from the predetermined number of pulses of a frequency signal, by changing a duty of one pulse of the frequency signal, or by changing a magnitude of the frequency signal. When the motor is in use, a modification point of the frequency signal is detected to produce an absolute angular position which is used for producing a disturbance correction value, via learning, to be stored. Velocity control is performed using the stored disturbance correction value.

  • Patent number: 5781688
Abstract: A multiple speed reproduction method and apparatus records a multiple speed reference signal to enable a head to accurately scan the position where an I frame is recorded during a multiple speed reproduction. The method and apparatus controls a duty ratio of a control signal which is recorded on a control track, and reproduces the multiple speed reference signal for use by a servo system during the multiple speed reproduction.

  • Patent number: 5773938
Abstract: A speed control apparatus for a rotary motor includes a motor for rotating at a speed based on a torque command and which outputs a present angular position and a present angular speed of the motor. A speed measuring unit is provided for obtaining a speed error representing the difference between a reference angular speed and a present angular speed. A speed controller is provided for outputting a current command for controlling a rotational speed of the motor. A learning compensator is provided for correcting an effect of a disturbance expressed as a function of an angular position and an angular speed applied to the motor, via a repetitive learning process using the reference angular speed, any one of the speed error from the speed measuring unit and the current command output from the speed controller and the present angular position of the motor, for removing a high frequency noise generated in the repetitive learning process, and for outputting a resultant disturbance correction value.
