  • Publication number: 20220135819
Abstract: An ink composition can include a dye and an ink vehicle. The ink vehicle can include water, from 1.5 wt % to 8 wt % of a C4-C6 1,2-alkanediol, and from 12 wt % to 25 wt % of a secondary co-solvent package including multiple co-solvents selected from 2-pyrrolidone, 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone, 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, triethylene glycol, 1,5-pentandiol, 1,6-hexanediol, glycerol, or 5-dimethylhydantoin. The ink composition also includes a surfactant package including from 0.6 wt % to 1.6 wt % of the surfactant package, which includes both a nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant at a weight ratio from 4:1 to 1.5:1, for example.

  • Publication number: 20210163769
Abstract: An inkjet ink composition includes cellulose nanocrystals and a metal oxide. The cellulose nanocrystals are present in the inkjet ink composition in an amount ranging from 0.5 wt % up to 2 wt %, based on a total weight of the inkjet ink composition, and the metal oxide is present in the inkjet ink composition in an amount ranging from 0.5 wt % up to 7 wt %, based on the total weight of the inkjet ink composition. The inkjet ink composition further includes a pigment, a polar solvent and a balance of water.

  • Publication number: 20210071019
Abstract: A thermal inkjet ink composition includes cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs). The cellulose nanocrystals are present in the thermal inkjet ink composition in an amount ranging from 0.5 wt % up to 3.5 wt %, based on a total weight of the thermal inkjet ink composition. The thermal inkjet ink composition further includes a sugar alcohol present in an amount ranging from 3 wt % up to about 8 wt % based on the total weight of the thermal inkjet ink composition, an organic salt present in an amount ranging from about 0.05 wt % to about 0.5 wt % based on the total weight of the thermal inkjet ink composition, a pigment, a polar solvent, and a balance of water.
