  • Publication number: 20220231886
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration that indicates to the UE to apply demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling to physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. The UE may maintain phase coherence across multiple PUSCH transmissions, to which the DMRS bundling is applied, to enable joint channel estimation across the multiple PUSCH transmissions. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the configuration, uplink control information (UCI) that includes a coherence indication. The UE may multiplex the UCI with a PUSCH transmission of the multiple PUSCH transmissions to which the DMRS bundling is applied. The coherence indication may indicate whether the PUSCH transmission is coherent with one or more other PUSCH transmissions, of the multiple PUSCH transmissions, transmitted by the UE. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20220231899
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), that is configured for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling, may receive a control message that schedules first and second sets of repetitions of an uplink transmission. The UE may determine a phase coherency configuration to be applied for DMRS transmissions corresponding to each set of repetitions. The phase coherency configuration may be determined based on a phase coherency capability of the UE, and the phase coherency configuration may specify that phase coherency is to be maintained for one or more of the first set of repetitions separate from one or more of the second set of repetitions. The UE may transmit the first set of repetitions with a first set of demodulation reference signals and the second set of repetitions with a second set of demodulation reference signals in accordance with the phase coherency configuration.

  • Patent number: 11374686
Abstract: A method of wireless communication at a transmitting device includes adding parity check bits to a set of information bits. The method also includes generating a non-coherent transmission signal by mapping the parity check bits and the set of information bits into a sequence of complex symbols. Further, the method may include transmitting the non-coherent transmission signal to a receiving device. A method of wireless communication at a receiving device includes receiving, from a transmitting device, a non-coherent signal having at least one segment. Each segment comprises a sequence of complex symbols corresponding to information bits and parity check bits. • Publication number: 20220187411
Abstract: During positioning of a user equipment (UE), (DL) positioning reference signals (PRS) transmitted by one or more transmission reception point (TRP) in a wireless communication system may be preempted or punctured by higher priority transmissions, such as ultra-reliable low-latency traffic (URLLC). A PRS preemption indication (PI) may be provided to a UE identifying one or more TRPs affected by preemption. The PRS PI may further identify the time domain and frequency domain of the preempted DL PRS transmissions. The PRS PI may identify the time domain, e.g., based on a number of PRS symbols between two monitoring occasions, wherein only PRS symbols that contain positioning reference signals associated with the group of TRPs are counted. The PRS PI may identify the frequency domain by identifying at least one of four or more frequency sub-bands of the preempted DL PRS transmissions.

  • Publication number: 20220123856
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to switch between waveform configurations based on an indicated modulation coding scheme (MCS) such that waveform switching may be signaled implicitly. A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a hybrid MCS table including MCS indexes associated with a first waveform configuration and MCS indexes associated with a second waveform configuration. The base station may schedule resources for an uplink transmission for the UE and may indicate an MCS index associated with the uplink transmission, using index from the MCS table. The UE may select a waveform configuration for the uplink transmission based on the MCS index. For example, the UE may compare the MCS index with a threshold MCS index of the hybrid MCS table and determine a waveform configuration associated with the MCS index based on whether the MCS index falls above or below the threshold.
