  • Publication number: 20230180146
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling, such as a control message or radio resource control (RRC) signaling, from a base station indicating a time interval over which to determine available power headroom relative to a transmission power threshold. The UE may calculate the available power headroom relative to the transmission power threshold as a function of UE transmission power during the time interval. The UE may transmit a power headroom report in an uplink transmission to the base station, the power headroom report indicating the calculated available power headroom. The base station may schedule one or more uplink messages at the UE according to the available power headroom.

  • Patent number: 11671915
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for coordinated sidelink power savings configurations. A wireless node may select a sidelink power savings configuration to use for a sidelink between the wireless node and a user equipment (UE), provide the selected configuration to the UE, and follow the configuration for the sidelink. The selection may be based on input from the UE or without input from the UE. The selection may be a current power savings configuration at the wireless node, a power savings configuration suggest by the UE, or a different power savings configuration determined by the wireless node based on the current and suggested power savings configuration. When a new UE connects to the wireless node, the wireless node may reselect a power savings configuration to use for the sidelinks and provide the reselected power savings configuration to the UEs having a sidelink with the wireless node.

  • Patent number: 11659575
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling indicating a set of resources for transmitting a set of uplink shared channel transmissions and a set of demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) having phase coherence across a set of transmission time intervals (TTIs). The UE may receive, from the base station, a control message indicating a cancellation of a first resource of the set of resources. The UE may determine one or more phase-continuity conditions for the set of resources based on receiving the control message indicating the cancellation of the first resource. • Patent number: 11658766
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to switch between waveform configurations based on an indicated modulation coding scheme (MCS) such that waveform switching may be signaled implicitly. A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a hybrid MCS table including MCS indexes associated with a first waveform configuration and MCS indexes associated with a second waveform configuration. The base station may schedule resources for an uplink transmission for the UE and may indicate an MCS index associated with the uplink transmission, using index from the MCS table. The UE may select a waveform configuration for the uplink transmission based on the MCS index. For example, the UE may compare the MCS index with a threshold MCS index of the hybrid MCS table and determine a waveform configuration associated with the MCS index based on whether the MCS index falls above or below the threshold.

  • Patent number: 11641225
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) having partially coherent antennas may be configured for simultaneous transmissions on groups of antennas. To achieve the benefits of simultaneous transmissions using groups of antenna that are partially coherent, without having the transmissions affect each other, the UE may apply a hybrid closed-loop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scheme among each antenna in the antenna groups where phase coherence can be maintained Following the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, the UE may apply a transparent diversity scheme across each antenna of the groups. Alternatively, the UE may first apply the transparent diversity scheme and next apply the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme. By applying a hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, and a transparent diversity scheme, the UE may fully realize its resources and contribute to an improved spatial diversity for a MIMO system.

  • Patent number: 11638269
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for prioritizing, at a user equipment (UE), sidelink CSI reports received from other UEs. In one example, the UE may be configured to transmit sidelink CSI reports (e.g., received from other UEs) separately from other CSI reports (e.g., CSI reports generated by the UE), and the UE may prioritize sidelink CSI reports for transmission based on the priorities of the UEs from which the CSI reports are received. The UE may then aggregate and transmit the prioritized sidelink CSI reports to a network entity. In another example, the UE may be configured to transmit sidelink CSI reports with other CSI reports in a same channel, and the UE may prioritize the sidelink CSI reports over the other CSI reports for transmission to a network entity.

  • Publication number: 20230117511
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), that is configured for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling, may receive a control message that schedules first and second sets of repetitions of an uplink transmission. The UE may determine a phase coherency configuration to be applied for DMRS transmissions corresponding to each set of repetitions. The phase coherency configuration may be determined based on a phase coherency capability of the UE, and the phase coherency configuration may specify that phase coherency is to be maintained for one or more of the first set of repetitions separate from one or more of the second set of repetitions. The UE may transmit the first set of repetitions with a first set of demodulation reference signals and the second set of repetitions with a second set of demodulation reference signals in accordance with the phase coherency configuration.
