  • Patent number: 7913813
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a core having a first surface configured for attachment to a surface of a structure, a face sheet located over a second surface of the core, a number of cavities within an interior of the core, and a number of ports for the number of cavities. The number of ports provides communication between the number of cavities within the interior of the core and the exterior of the core. The number of cavities and the number of ports are configured to reduce noise traveling through the core.

  • Publication number: 20100057698
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards systems, methods and computer program products for assisting search request by presenting suggestion of one or more vertical segments to produce a more focused result. A vertical segment may be selected by the user, the selected vertical segment being associated with one or more query terms and a search is performed on an index associated with the vertical segment. A search engine generates a search result and returns a list of search result pages for presentation to a user.

  • Publication number: 20090064010
Abstract: A tool which allows users to define one or more event/action pairs, thereby speeding and customizing the user's interaction with web documents. Such event/action pairs may include keyboard shortcuts and associated actions, and the user can add, edit, or delete some or all such keyboard shortcuts through a convenient interface. The event/action pairs may also be associated with an account provided by a service provider, whereby the user can cause any browser that can access the service provider to load the event/action pairs, which in turn allows the user to work efficiently regardless of the computing device and/or browser available to the user.

  • Publication number: 20080249854
Abstract: A solution is provided wherein an identification of a user who is producing low value to a web page or service is received, wherein the identification was determined by measuring web page usage patterns for the user. Advertising is then presented on the web page or service for the user according to a retraining program, wherein the retraining program is designed to retrain the user's behavior so that the user no longer produces low value and wherein the retraining program presents advertising in a different way than would be presented without the retraining program.

  • Patent number: 6563250
Abstract: A passive piezoelectric damping system dissipates mechanical energy propagating through a structure by tuning a shunt inductance to a non-resonant mode of the structure. The damping system includes a piezoelectric element coupled to the structure, where the piezoelectric element converts the mechanical energy into electrical energy. The electrical energy has a reactive component. The damping system further includes a shunt circuit connected to the piezoelectric element for balancing the reactive component of the electrical energy with a shunt inductance. The shunt inductance is tuned to a non-resonant mode of the structure to reduce airborne noise transmission through the structure.
