  • Patent number: 10447375
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication and techniques to prevent frequent beam switching. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a duration of time that the UE dwells on a beam. The UE may update a data structure, stored in memory of the UE, to add or modify a stored duration value associated with the beam based at least in part on determining the duration of time that the UE dwells on the beam. The UE may determine that a condition associated with the stored duration value is satisfied. The UE may modify a priority of the beam in connection with a beam selection procedure based at least in part on determining that the condition associated with the stored duration value is satisfied. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 10425274
Abstract: Techniques and architectures to provide multiple application servers each having at least one connection agent and at least one enabler agent and at least one database organized as multiple nodes. An error condition between a first connection agent and a first database node is detected. The first connection agent indicates that the first database node is unavailable to stop attempts to access the first database node by a first application server. A first enabler agent periodically checks availability of the first database node. The first database node is indicated as available in response to a pre-selected number of successful attempts to contact the first database node with the first enabler agent. The first database node is accessed with the application server in response to the indication that the first database node is available.

  • Publication number: 20190235895
Abstract: Migration configuration data for an organization migration to move application data and application services of a to-be-migrated organization hosted at a source system instance to a target system instance is received. Migration components respectively representing to-be-migrated systems of record in a to-be-migrated organization are registered. In response to receiving an instruction to enter a specific organization migration state, migration steps for each migration component in the migration components are identified for execution in the specific organization migration state. Each migration component in the migration components automatically executes migration steps determined for each such migration component for execution in the specific organization migration state.

  • Publication number: 20190235918
Abstract: A request for an organization migration to move application data and application services of an organization hosted at a source system instance in a multi-tenant computing system to a target system instance in the multi-tenant computing system is received. Based on operational parameters, a time window is selected to execute the organization migration. Computing resource usages of one or both of the source and target system instances in the selected time window are monitored. If computing resources are available, the organization migration is enqueued.

  • Publication number: 20190191327
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may measure a power value for each beam from one or more cells and calculate an average beam power for each cell. The UE may transmit these calculated averages to a base station in a report, and the base station may select a cell for communications based on the measurement report. The UE may also include a number indicating how many beams are used when calculating an average beam power, a ratio between a maximum and minimum beam power for each cell, two average beam powers based on two defined thresholds, or a combination of these measurements, in the transmitted report. The UE may add a bias to the average beam power for a particular cell to indicate a preference for that cell over the other candidate cells.

  • Publication number: 20190007892
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. System information may be updated during wireless communications. A base station may transmit an indication of such a change to a wireless device. In some cases, the indication may include a priority of the system information change. The base station may set a time duration for the system information change, and broadcast one or more information blocks (e.g., indicating the updated system information) during the time duration. Upon expiration of a timer associated with the time duration, the base station may return to transmitting the one or more information blocks to the wireless device in response to requests from the wireless device. In some cases, the system information change may be broadcast in response to receiving multiple requests to transmit the first type of information block from a plurality of wireless devices served by the base station.

  • Publication number: 20160174187
Abstract: Methods and devices for improving data throughput and page performance of a multi-subscription wireless communication device with a shared radio frequency (RF) resource may include detecting when a random access channel (RACH) procedure required on a modem stack associated with the first SIM in order to access a first network will coincide with a scheduled tune-away period for the shared RF resource corresponding to a reservation for activity on a second network supported by the second SIM. When such coincidence is detected, the wireless communication device may periodically transmit preambles to the first network with increasing transmission power until an acknowledgment is received or the scheduled tune-away period starts. When the scheduled tune-away period starts, the wireless communication device may pause transmission of preambles and record virtual preambles. When the tune-away period ends, the wireless communication device may continue the RACH procedure based on actual and virtual preambles.

  • Patent number: 9258277
Abstract: In general, techniques are described for performing decentralized packet dispatch. A network device comprising one or more service processing units (SPUs) and an interface may implement the techniques. The interface receives a packet associated with a session and selects a first one of SPUs to dispatch the packet based on first information extracted from the packet. The first one of the SPUs dispatches the packet to a second one of the SPUs based on second information extracted from the packet. The second one of the SPUs performs first pass processing to configure the network security device to perform fast path processing of the packet such that second one of the SPUs applies one or more services to the packet and subsequent packets associated with the same session without application of services to the packets by the first one of the service processing units.

  • Patent number: 8465809
Abstract: A moving bed reactor system is provided. The system comprises at least one gas inlet, a distributor, a temperature control, a plurality of electrodes, and a spark control circuit. The spark control circuit drives the electrodes and generates a multi-arc discharge when the system is loaded with particles and a gas at approximately atmospheric pressure or greater is being pumped through the system. The multi-arc discharge is useful to create activated species which may improve the rate of a chemical reaction taking place in the moving bed reactor system.

  • Patent number: 8168149
Abstract: A method and system for CO2 capture from flue gas uses an absorber vessel in which a flue gas stream containing CO2 is contacted with an ammoniated solution to remove CO2 from the flue gas, and a regenerator vessel in which CO2 is released from the ammoniated solution. Parasitic energy consumption of the system can be reduced by adding to the ammoniated solution a promoter effective to enhance the formation of ammonium bicarbonate within the ammoniated solution. The amount of ammoniated solution recycled from the regenerator vessel to the absorber vessel is less than that which would be required using the ammoniated solution without the promoter for removal of the same amount of CO2 from the flue gas.
