Abstract: The embodiments described herein relate to a method and system for social awareness which may be based on social networks for knowledge exchange. More specifically, the embodiments may refer to specific social networks with social elements in the user interface based on knowledge exchange, social theory of group memberships within an enterprise or organization context. In addition, the disclosed group memberships may be predicated upon many different types of relationships. Furthermore, the social network (through a program interface) may provide to users the required specific project resources (project team members), which may be need to develop a better project performance according to the experience and knowledge of the new members. The required project team members may match with the attributes and criteria established during the project planning.

Abstract: A system and method for multidisciplinary team collaboration may include an algorithm for determining suitable relationships between the team members; a visualization interface for illustrating and managing members in separate groups according to their profiles, expertise, work output, and/or project roles; and the analysis of how members interact and use knowledge content. In the disclosed method, lived-work practices and/or knowledge content may be incorporated in the system to account for human behavior and expand upon existing documented work processes.

Abstract: A method for the management of artifacts in knowledge ecosystems is disclosed. The management of artifacts may be performed through the interaction of project participants with a computing device which may display a project repository interface of a software module within a knowledge ecosystem. The method may include the process to retrieve an artifact from a knowledge base to store in the project repository, and the process to store a new artifact in the knowledge base. Moreover, the method may include a process for associating a retention policy, a quality rank and suitable categories and tags to each artifact stored in the knowledge base, which may facilitate the selection of a suitable artifact according to the project requirements. As a result, the method for the management of artifacts may allow leveraging human expertise, saving human efforts, improving decision-making and fostering innovation.

In systems disclosed here, participants may receive suggested knowledge of use in one or more tasks related to their role in one or more projects. In systems disclosed here, participants in a knowledge ecosystem may be described using attributes, where the system may modify a set of attributes associated with a participant. The system may suggest one or more participants for one or more tasks in a project as well as collaboration with one or more other people with knowledge relevant to the project. Systems disclosed here may manage the execution of collaborative projects, where managing the execution may include characterizing knowledge and participants in an ecosystem, suggesting collaboration between participants in the ecosystem, and presenting relevant information in a timely manner to participants in the project.

The embodiments may include the selection and implementation of one or more stakeholder analysis models, where one or more variables describing one or more relevant stakeholder aspects may be used to assess and classify one or more stakeholders. The analysis may be used to determine the relative impact and influence of the one or more stakeholders on a project and the impact that one or more projects may have on one or more stakeholders. This analysis may consequently improve stakeholder relationships through the creation of suitable stakeholder policies.
