    Abstract: A platform for carrying electric high-voltage equipment, such as series-capacitors etc., is supported by insulator columns which are articulated at the upper and lower ends. Bracing takes place with the aid of diagonally-braced insulators which are connected together by means of ropes via a prestressed spring damper. The means provides a high damping and a low natural frequency in case of earthquake stresses. Through the prestressing of the spring damper, the platform will remain stationary at low loads such as wind loads.
