Abstract: The present invention relates to a greenhouse screen or the like which is intended for substantially horizontal application and for thermal stratification of the air space under a greenhouse roof, and which prevents drop formation from condensation. The invention also relates to a method for making this screen. The screen comprises webs of sheeting which are joined together edge to edge (or overlapping) by sewn-in threads in longitudinal and transverse directions which constitute a network on at least one side of the sheeting.

Abstract: An apparatus for screening off large surfaces, for instance glass surfaces, growing surfaces or the like and a method of assembling such apparatus for screening off is described. The apparatus includes at least one curtain (14), for example a greenhouse curtain, which is held up by a number of support lines (12) along which the curtain is mobile for opening or closing it. The curtain includes a number of suspension lines (26) integrated in the curtain across the support lines (12), which suspension lines (26) are freely mobile along the length of the curtain. The support lines (12) can be coupled together by one or several of the suspension lines (26) via connectors. At least some of the suspension lines (26) integrated in the curtain (14) are stretched between at least some of the support lines (12). When stretched the suspension lines (26) are freely mobile in the curtain and in the said connectors (15) and at least some of the connectors (15) are attachable to the suspension lines (26).

Abstract: A flame retardant, drapeable screen having long-time UV-stability useful for shading and energy saving, particularly for greenhouses, comprising flexible strips with a thickness less than 100 um, which form a continuous product by means of a crochet or weave process and a yarn system, where the strips comprising at least a part of the surface of the product, and where at least some of the strips comprise light and/or heat reflecting foil strips, e.g. a low emitting metal foil, preferably an AL-foil.

Abstract: Plant protection device in the form of a weather protection extensible over the cultivation. The protection device including a framework (12) consisting of longitudinal and traverse support elements (13, 14) within which at least one waterproof foldable plant protection curtain (16) is extensible from a folded up position and vice versa. The invention also refers to a foldable curtain as a plant protection for cultivations, which curtain (16) has a high tensile strength in it's longitudinal and traverse directions and which via connectors (29) is hung up on a number of support lines (30) stretched across the curtain. The curtain is extensible from a folded up position to an extended position and vice versa, whereby the curtain includes a framework (18) consisting of strips or ribbons and/or lines. The curtain (16) is made of a waterproof laminate and is including relative to the curtain movable stretch or reinforcing lines (22) in essentially parallel rows stretching along the curtain's length.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cloth hanger clip for holding a material in which a first resilient hook defines a material holding space an second resilient hook defines a wire holding space. The hooks are formed at ends of an intermediate portion. A recess is formed in the intermediate portion for receiving the tip of the first hook in which the recess is positioned outside of the material holding space.

Abstract: An insect net for screening off at least one air passage which can be opened and closed in variable degree by a shutter. The net is produced from fabric, which is drapeable to a variable extent in dependence of the opening degree of the shutter. In the warp and/or weft direction of the fabric at some distance from each other are inlaid control threads, which are provided at equal intervals to form loops for receiving the control bars of the shutter.

Abstract: Greenhouse screen for use as a filter for short-day treatment of plants and made of a film, textile, non-woven material or a combination thereof with high light resitance and good weathering conditions. The greenhouse screen at least partly consists of a material which in one or more layers has high absorption of light in a significant part of the wavelength interval 575-800 nm and with substantially total absorption in the wavelength interval 600-750 nm and which has high transmittance of light in the wavelength interval 400-575 nm.

Abstract: A fabric for use as a green house curtain has spaced strips of flexible sheet material running in the longitudinal direction of the fabric, the strips being supported in a yarn framework of textile threads. The textile thread framework has transverse and longitudinal connection threads. The longitudinal threads are located between the strips on one side only of the fabric and the transverse threads are located on both sides of the fabric so as to extend respectively across opposite surfaces of the strips to trap the strips therebetween. The transverse threads on the side of the fabric opposite the longitudinal threads extend through the spaces between the strips for connection to the longitudinal threads.

Abstract: Curtain fabrics for use as greenhouse curtains or shading fabrics comprise strips of metal foil incorporated in a yarn network having longitudinal and transverse connection threads. Transverse threads on the other side of the fabric extend between adjacent strips for connection to the longitudinal threads. In the case of greenhouse curtain the strips are situated between each adjacent pair of longitudinal connection threads while in the case of a shading fabric the strips are more widely spaced so as to provide ventillation spaces therebetween.

Abstract: A rollable and drapeable green-house curtain with insulating power. The curtain comprises double fabric layers separated along their entire length and width and interconnected by means of a plurality of thin and flexible threads sparsely distributed over the surface of the curtain. In the intervals between rows of connecting threads there could be arranged strips of a heat reflecting material, e.g. metallized foil, in order to make the curtain an effective barrier against radiant heat. The curtain is manufactured on a warp knitting machine with two needle bars and the connecting threads consist of connecting stitches between the double fabric paths.
