  • Patent number: 9756584
Abstract: A method and system for setting an initial dedicated physical control channel (DPCCH) power of a secondary carrier after a transmission gap are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes determining a filtered DPCCH power of first carrier. The method further includes determining a power offset. The method also includes calculating the initial DPCCH power of the secondary carrier by adding the determined filtered DPCCH power of the first carrier to the determined power offset.

  • Publication number: 20150223229
Abstract: A Radio Network Node (RNN) 102, and a method therein, for reception of data comprised in an UL transmission on a common channel. The RNN serves a primary cell 104 comprising a primary antenna (110). The RNN, the primary cell and at least one secondary antenna 112,116 are comprised in a communications system 100. Further, a user equipment (UE) 108 is located in the primary cell. The RNN adds the primary antenna 110 and the at least one secondary antenna 112,116 to a set of receiving antennas. The primary and secondary antennas received a transmission from the UE. The secondary antenna is comprised in the primary cell or in the at least one secondary cell. Further, the RNN receives the data comprised in the UL transmission from all antennas comprised in the set of receiving antennas.

  • Patent number: 8971254
Abstract: A network node is disclosed that communicates with a user equipment node in a communications system. The network node repetitively transmits first uplink transmission power control, TPC, commands on a first physical channel with a first channel configuration while repetitively transmitting second uplink TPC commands on a second physical channel with a second channel configuration. The first and second uplink TPC commands control uplink transmission power from the user equipment node to the network node. Related user equipment nodes and methods are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060034378
Abstract: Method of communicating frames of digital data by OFDM modulated signals comprising a first plurality of payload carrying sub-channels and a second plurality of pilot carrying sub-channels, whereby consecutive frames of payload data is are associated with a given pilot configuration and transmitted. Prior to the transmission of a frame of payload data, each of the plurality of pilot configurations are evaluated with regard to PAPR, whereby the pilot configuration being associated with the lowest PAPR value is being chosen for transmission.
