Abstract: A connection assembly for a truck is provided, the truck including a chassis accommodating one or more components, a pivotable driver's cabin, wherein an arrangement associated with the components on the chassis is arranged, wherein the cabin is mounted to the chassis by a pivotable mounting arrangement; and a flexible connection arrangement linking the components of the chassis and the associated arrangement arranged in the cabin, wherein the pivotable mounting arrangement includes a linkage arm having a rear end which is pivotably mounted to a chassis bracket and a front end where the cabin is pivotably mounted; and the flexible connection arrangement is mounted to the linkage arm. The required space around the pivoting mounting point can be significantly reduced, as it is realised that by using a frontal pivot point in the design of the pivotable mounting arrangement, the flexible connection arrangement, i.e.

Abstract: A liquid tank is provided for a heavy vehicle, suitable for fastening to a vehicle frame by at least one supporting bracket having shaped surfaces arranged for load bearing and locating contact against the liquid tank. The tank includes two end face portions and a shell portion with a non-symmetrical cross-section extending there between. The tank includes a first, shaped portion facing the vehicle frame, arranged for load bearing contact against a first shaped surface of the supporting bracket, a second, shaped portion extending partially below the frame, arranged to locate the tank relative to a second shaped surface of the supporting bracket, and a third, substantially rectangular portion facing away from the vehicle frame, and that the tank is fastened to the bracket by at least one clamping means. A bracket for supporting such a tank is also disclosed.

Abstract: A fastening element is provided for connecting mechanical parts to one another. The fastening element includes integrated, cutting machining grooves which are designed to work the edges of the hole, during fixing of the fastening element, by the removal of material in the parts to be mutually connected, so that the hole is made to fit against the shell surface of the fastening element. A fastening element can be provided which, in a cheap and simple manner, is designed to absorb both occurring shearing loads and compression/traction loads between the connected parts.

Abstract: A fastening device for joining together mechanical parts is provided, where the fastening device includes integrated cutting edges that are so arranged, during assembly of the fastening device, as to remove material from the envelope surfaces of the assembly hole by cutting in a rotating movement, so that the assembly hole is caused to fit the envelope surface of the fitting part. A fastening device can be provided which, by simple and inexpensive means, is so arranged as to absorb both shearing loads and tensile/compressive loads arising between the joined parts.

Abstract: Frame members for load-bearing vehicles are disclosed including upper and lower supports connected by a connecting portion and in which the end of the frame has a decreasing height towards the end thereof and an attachment plate for maintaining the relative positions of the upper and lower portions of the end of the frame. Methods for providing these frames are also disclosed.
