  • Publication number: 20240193555
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of waste collection, and particularly to techniques for requesting and controlling access to a waste collection point by using a mobile user device. The mobile user device is initially provided with a user ID that is granted permanent or temporary access rights to one or more hatches of one or more waste containers of the waste collection point. By using the user ID and a user input that comprises an indication of one or more of the waste containers to be accessed in the waste collection point at a given time instant, the mobile user device sends an access request to an access control system. In response to the access request, the access control system unlocks or opens the hatch(es) of the waste container(s) to be accessed, when the mobile user device is in the vicinity of the waste collection point. By so doing, it is possible to provide efficient access management for the waste collection point.

  • Publication number: 20240077603
Abstract: A method, a sensor and a system for observing the presence, location, movement and/or attitude of a person in a monitored area. The sensor comprises means for processing the measurement signal of the sensor, such as measuring electronics, and means for communicating measurement results and/or data relating to the measurement results for further processing. The sensor is a radar-based sensor, such as an as a frequency-modulated continuous-wave MIMO radar-based sensor, configured to detect persons in the monitored area and to measure and detect the location, velocity and/or shape of the monitored person. The sensor comprises means for detecting the orientation of the sensor, such as an acceleration sensor, and the sensor is configured to take the detected orientation of the sensor into account when determining measurement results for the monitored person, e.g. by compensating the measurement results based on the detected orientation.

The sensor is a radar-based sensor, such as a frequency-modulated continuous-wave MIMO radar-based sensor, configured to detect persons in the monitored area and to measure and detect movement, such as breathing frequency, location, velocity and/or shape of the monitored person. The sensor or a monitoring system connected to the sensor is configured to determine at least one of the following states of the person: breaks or interruptions with breathing of the monitored person, e.g. in order to recognize sleep apnea, and/or immobility of the monitored person, e.g. in order to avoid bedsores or pressure ulcers, and the sensor and/or the monitoring system is configured to provide an alarm based on the determined state of the person.

  • Patent number: 8968157
Abstract: A hurdle includes two base parts, each base part having a hollow space; a counterweight; a gear transmission arranged in each base part to displace the counterweight; tubular elements that include first second tubes displaceable telescopically relative to one another, each of the first tubes being fixed to one of the base parts; locking elements that lock the first and second tubes relative to one another; a bar connecting upper ends of the second tubes; a force-transmitting unit that extends from the hollow space in each base part and is connected to an associated second tube; and guides arranged in each base part, where the gear transmission engages both with the force-transmitting unit and with a driver for the counterweight, where the force-transmitting unit is received in the guides, and where the gear transmission is adapted to cooperate with openings provided in the force transmitting unit.

  • Publication number: 20130053219
Abstract: A hurdle for hurdle racing with two hollow base parts/feet arranged at a distance from one another and designed to rest on a supporting surface, wherein a counterweight is displaceably arranged in each base part, tubular elements extending vertically in relation to the supporting surface are fixed to one end of each base part, with each tubular element consisting of two tubes displaceable telescopically relative to one another, elements for locking the telescopic tubes relative to one another and a bar connects the upper ends of the tubes situated furthest away from the associated base part. A strip-type force-transmitting element extends from the hollow space in each base part to the associated tubular element, and is connected to the tube supporting the bar, a gear transmission device arranged in each base part engages both with the strip-type force-transmitting element and with a driver element for the counterweight.

  • Publication number: 20100029416
Abstract: A football goal comprises a framework Including two opposite gable frames (10). At its lower end, each gable frame (10) has abeam member (11), which extends in the longitudinal direction of the gable frame (10) and by means of which the gable frame (10) can rest upon a substrate for the goal, and a wheel unit (1A), comprising a wheel (15), movable between an upper inactive position and a lower active position in which it can support a front portion of the gable frame (10) in a state in which said front portion is lifted from said substrate and rests on said wheel (15). The wheel unit (1A) is mounted on the beam member (11) of the gable frame (10) in a manner permitting it to be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the beam member.
