  • Patent number: 7514030
Abstract: A smoothed and durable industrial process fabric and method for producing such a fabric. The fabric may be used as a papermaker's fabric, other industrial process fabric and/or engineered fabric. In any case, the fabric is processed using a device comprising at least two smooth rolls which form a pressure nip, such as a calender, such that at least some of the fabric components are permanently deformed. • Publication number: 20030106773
Abstract: The present invention relates to a conveyor that includes at least one dogging device. The dogging device includes a plurality of dogging yokes (105). These are arranged to move commonly after one another and in mutually spaced relationship in a transport direction. The conveyor is constructed to move booklets (1) piece-wise in the transport direction, by virtue of a pair of adjacent dogging yokes (105) being arranged to straddle a side edge of a booklet (1) with clearance in the transport direction. The object of the invention is to avoid an oblique or inclined orientation of the booklets between the dogging yokes. According to the invention, there is provided a support device (106) which acts between two adjacent dogging yokes (105) which at least partially bridge the clearance when one side edge of a booklet (1) is straddled by the adjacent dogging yokes (105).

  • Patent number: 6227255
Abstract: A woven fabric for a paper machine, board machine or the like has a single-layered structure formed of machine-direction (MD) threads which bind with cross-direction (CD) threads in a 2-shed repeated pattern to provide the fabric with a 2-shed top surface for carrying a web of material. The fabric also has reinforcing threads, which are in the machine direction and which bind with the CD threads in an n-shed repeated pattern, where n is equal to or greater than 5, providing the fabric with reinforcing flotations in the machine direction on the bottom surface of the fabric. The reinforcing threads bind with only one CD thread per repeat and are as fine as or finer than the MD threads. The MD threads, the CD threads and the reinforcing threads are all made of polymeric material.

  • Patent number: 6152245
Abstract: A compressed-air-operated percussion mechanism includes a housing, a percussion body and a balancing body, which form an operating chamber therebetween. A secondary valve seals the operating chamber during an operating stroke and opens the chamber to evacuate compressed air after the termination of the operating stroke. A primary valve is connected to the compressed air inlet passage and intermittently opens to provide compressed air to the operating chamber.

  • Patent number: 6151298
Abstract: An electronic bus system comprises a bus wire (BW) with at least two signal transmission wires (W1, W2) and a left and a right end, which are each defined by a terminating resistor connecting the signal transmission wires to each other. A plurality of electronic control units (ECU-ECUn) are between the two ends of the bus wire (BW) connected to the signal transmission wires (W1, W2) and are adapted, via these, to transmit and receive electric signals. The bus wire (BW) is divided into a plurality of sections (S1-Sn), which are interconnected by means of connecting circuits (CC1-CCn), and forms an annular unit. Each connecting circuit (CC1-CCn) comprises relay means, by means of which each connecting circuit, coordinated with the other connecting circuits, can connect at least one terminating resistor integrated therein, in order to define the left and/or right end of the bus wire (BW).

  • Patent number: 5872227
Abstract: Disclosed is a process which achieves effective separation of components from red blood cells by aggregating cell membranes with an addition of a pH lowering agent, whereupon the solution is made subject to a separation step where a water soluble fraction is separated from cell membranes, and whereupon the cell membranes are extracted, and where lipids may be selectively separated and recovered by lowering the temperature of the extract.

  • Patent number: 5809426
Abstract: An arrangement in a mobile telecommunication system which has two or more base stations having transmitting elements which are each arranged to operate with a respective real-time clock and a time-comparing element. A central coordinating unit in the system is arranged to transmit a first time signal to an element arranged in the base station for receiving the first time signal. The first time information is then transferred together with a second time information to the time-comparing element. The second time information is set up by the real-time clock in the transmitting element. The first time information and second time information are placed in relation to one another and, in dependence on the relationship between these and existing criteria, for example delays and the like, the time-comparing element adjusts the real-time clock so that synchronization is carried out.

  • Patent number: 5755292
Abstract: A pressure medium operated reciprocating impact mechanism has at least one working member (7) and at least one stop member (15), which are axially movable with respect to each other, and a working chamber (22) for pressure medium is arranged in at least one of them and is opened towards the other member. One of the members has an opening (39) emerging into the working chamber for feeding pressure medium to the working chamber. The impact mechanism comprises an arrangement (21) for sealing the working chamber in the position in which the members are brought most together and allow pressure medium to escape out of the working chamber when a predetermined relative position of the members is reached during their movement apart.

  • Patent number: 4045955
Abstract: Apparatus for controlling the flow of fuel supplied via a regulating valve to a gas turbine plant having a compressed-gas generating unit and a power turbine which is driven by the gas from the generating unit. The function of the controlling apparatus is to reduce or cut off the supply of fuel in the event of an overspeed condition of the power turbine. The apparatus includes a first means which is responsive to the angular velocity of a rotor in the power turbine, and a second means which is responsive to the angular acceleration of such rotor. The control means is jointly responsive to the output signals provided by the first and second means so as to control the valve and reduce the rotor's angular velocity when the output signals provided by both the first and second means concurrently exceed predetermined values.
