  • Patent number: 5947164
Abstract: A cloth beam arrangement for tubular felts or cloths in a weaving machine brings about feed in the weaving machine of the overfelt and the underfelt. The arrangement comprises an upper first beam, an intermediate second beam and a lower third beam. The underfelt runs against the first and the third beam and the overfelt runs against the second beam. The arrangement comprises driving members for the beams. The weaving machine includes a sley which during weaving acts against a weaving edge which has been established. The driving members drive the beams in a way which prevents mutual longitudinal displacement movements between the overfelt and the underfelt. It is thus ensured during weaving that the overfelt and underfelt edges remain completely overlapping one another at the weaving edge.

  • Patent number: 5381835
Abstract: A weaving machine for weaving fabric, felts and wires of different widths, comprises a warp thread magazine, first members for feeding warp threads into the weaving machine, and second members for executing the weaving functions in the weaving machine. The warp thread magazine includes a number of warp thread-bearing bobbins which are mounted individually alongside one another and individually selectable so as to form warp thread widths which correspond essentially to the widths of the various fabrics which can be woven in the weaving machine. The first members for feeding the warp threads include feed-in rollers each made up of individually rotatable sections which are arranged alongside one another and cooperate with associated warp thread-bearing bobbins, wherein the feeding-in of the warp threads from selected bobbins can be effected by rotating those sections of the feed-in rollers which cooperate with the selected bobbins.

  • Patent number: 5027865
Abstract: A pick device is incorporated in a weaving machine for the shuttles. The device comprises an accumulator for a working medium which can be filled into and emptied out of the accumulator and a pick-executing unit is incorporated, which performs its pick operation upon actuation by the working medium during emptying of the working medium out of the accumulator. A regulating member varies the effect of the working medium on the unit as a function of signals received for a controlling unit, thereby providing a predetermined pick force to the pick-executing unit.

  • Patent number: 4993458
Abstract: A weaving machine operates with warp thread tracks which lead from warp beams towards a shuttle race at which a fell of the cloth can be established and the weft thread or weft threads can be drawn in with a reed during ongoing weaving. Immediately before the interaction of the reed with the weft thread or weft threads, a momentary friction or increase in friction is produced between the warp threads and a member arranged in the warp thread track between the magazine and the fell of the cloth. The friction or increase in friction is produced by brake members which are activated such that a reduction is achieved in the flexibility of the warp threads at the fell of the cloth during the interaction between the reed and the weft thread or weft threads.
