    Abstract: A twin-wire belt press is disclosed for dewatering a fiber suspension and forming a continuous web of the fiber suspension. The twin wire belt includes a plurality of upper and lower rolls, a perforated roll and endless upper and lower wire belts. Dewatering tables are used to support the endless upper and lower wire belts and form a wedge-shaped pressure space between the endless upper and lower wire belts for initially pressing and dewatering the fiber suspension and forming a web therebetween. Roll members, including at least two press rolls which form press roll nips with the perforated roll and another roll, press and dewater the web between the endless upper and lower wire belts.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a method and a device for the dilution of dewatered cellulose pulp that maintains a consistency of 30% or greater. By shredding of the pulp to a finely divided dry granulate, dilution to a homogeneous consistency in the medium consistency range can take place exclusively through hydrodynamic effects from the addition of dilution fluid. The dilution fluid is added to the granulate at a position at which the granulate is in free fall in a stand pipe 22, 40 and above a level LiqLEV of diluted pulp in the stand pipe. A number of nozzles are arranged around the periphery of the stand pipe, directed in towards the centre of the stand pipe, obliquely downwards in the direction of fall of the granulate. It is possible through this simplified procedure to avoid completely the conventional dilution screws, and this reduces the investment costs and is operating costs, while at the same time unnecessary mechanical influence of the pulp fibres can be avoided.

At least one of the ridges (2b, 2c) causes opening of the exhaust valve with an engine breaking effect.

    Abstract: A twin-wire belt press for dewatering of a fibre suspension and forming of a continuous web thereof comprises two dewatering tables (11, 12) forming a wedge-shaped pressure space (13) between the wire belts (5, 6) for initially pressing and dewatering the fibre suspension, whereby a web is formed between the wire belts. A roll arrangement (14) is situated after the dewatering tables, as seen in the direction of movement of the wire belts, for finally pressing and dewatering the web between the wire belts. The roll arrangement comprises at least on perforated hole roll (15) pressing against the wire belts. As a result, white-water that the hole roll presses out of the web between the wire belts is drained at least in part through the hole roll without rewetting the web.

    Abstract: An adaptable, multipurpose spot welding gun having replaceable electrode holders with different configurations. The spot welding gun includes a pneumatic cylinder with a first electrode secured to the cylinder piston. A rotatable housing is mounted on the gun adjacent to the moveable electrode. An electrode holder is mounted on the housing. The electrode holder may extend parallel to the cylinder, carrying a second electrode spaced from the first electrode. Alternatively, the electrode holder may be arc-shaped, extending away in a direction perpendicular to the cylinder, then back to hold a second electrode adjacent to the first electrode. This holder is fastened to the housing in a manner allowing it to swing to the side to allow the holder to fit over intervening structure, then swung back to the operating position. Either electrode can be easily installed or removed.

The ejector comprises a housing with an inlet opening from the fuel tank laterally into the housing. An inlet channel for surplus engine fuel communicates into the ejector housing through a nozzle orifice outlet. An evacuation channel from the ejector housing has an inlet that is aligned with the nozzle orifice. The conicity of the ejector housing and of the inlet channel in the vicinity of the nozzle orifice is disclosed. The evacuation channel has an outlet that extends essentially tangentially into the free space inside the fuel chamber around the outside of a fuel pump therein.

The device also preferably includes an enzyme reactor.

    Abstract: A flow meter is provided for measuring the flow rate of fluid through a conduit having an inlet and an outlet, which includes a measuring chamber having a float disposed therein for movement in response to fluid flow, and a detector for detecting the movement of the float in the measuring chamber. Various devices are provided for controlling the path of fluid flow from the conduit outlet to the conduit inlet, which includes apparatus for allowing fluid to flow from the outlet through the measuring chamber in a first direction so as to move the float in the first direction past the detector, and for also allowing fluid to flow from the outlet through the measuring chamber in a second direction so as to move the float in the second direction past the detector. Apparatus is connected to the detector for measuring the rate of fluid flow in response to the movement of the float in the first and second directions.
